It was definitely the best Deftones concert I've been to. Leuven 2003 was special with the self-titled mood and the wild Chino, but yesterday was more... concrete, in a way.

Funny fact: we were on the way back to longstem's, then he put the radio on, and there were some people talking about Lady Gaga, who played in Antwerp yesterday too, then some guy called and said " Dude this shit is pissing me off, Deftones also played in Antwerp, put some Deftones on ! " and we heard Back to School on a Belgian radio ! haha

This so was so good and I have to admit it was even better than Antwerp. Especially towards the end where the band was really on fire. Chino was jumping from everything and even fell down multiple times because of his enthousiasm. I could tell they loved Tilburg better than Antwerp. I'm not even talking about the setlist which was SO DIFFERENT, from yesterday. It was just great, just great. Chino went down in the crowd during Elite, like what he normally does with Hexagram. It was good to see Antwerp and 013 shows right after eachother, I heard A LOT of different songs in 2 days! Birthmark sounded amazing and it even looked like they were enjoying playing 7 Words. It was cool that they did a little piece of Orion just before the encore.... RAD!

I could get hold of a wirstband so afterwards I met Juan for a bit and hung out with just Chino, Abe and later Frank in the dressing room. This was beyond cool. I just tried to find them and there I was. Chino and Abe we're just blasting songs by Cody Chessnutt (The Seed) and Run DMC from their laptops and speakers they brought. Abe said come in buddy and offered me a beer and put a chair down for me to sit on. So I talked a little bit about..... ehhh myself! Sorry dudes no questions about weird unreleased songs or songs they should play. We just went through my deftones history. It was pretty rad. Chino did not recognize my face but he did remember that I drew artwork for them in 1998. It was cool. They made jokes about that 'they were NOT at the Waldrock show' hahaha. And we talked about Cheese and Gouda, a city I lived in for a while. All because there was cheese on the table.
Frank came in and was cool right away. Also Sergio and Stef came by to crap some drinks from the dressing room but I was busy talking with Abe and Chino there was no time to even talk to them.
Also, I was not there to be a fan but I really just wanted to shake hands and say hi, so that's what I did. I left after a while to let them relax.
