greatest article ever, finally ozzie said what all white sox fans feel.

the white sox may have the worst offense in the league. f'ing terrible...
rays are impressing me

rays are impressing me
yeah wtf, and when are the orioles going to realize they aren't a good team?
im seeing yankees vs padres with my dad in june. since its the last year for yankee stadium
also a few days later im gonna see phillies vs angels with a few friends.
they should both be awesome
too bad its such a rip off inside the stadium. everything is so expensive
yeah like $5 for a beer. gay
then if you go to wrigley field its like $6 for old style old pyle
another reason to hate the cubs
check out connor jacksons on base percentage:
.978
Hes only struck out 10 times in 127 at bats.
http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/7486
Arizona is winning the ship this year.
amazing, he's also got 4 triples already
hope they do win, who knows maybe theyll have to sweep the cubs in the playoffs again hahaha
oops i think that obp is a little high :p
here's another one...
Chipper Jones' 11 HRs and 32 RBIs are pretty good
but hes also hitting FUCKING .418
and i thought he was washed up
then theres also my boy Carlos Quentin leading the AL in HRs
go sox
Chipper is one of my favorite players of all time.
I've always liked the Braves because we get TBS here.
do you get WGN as well?
well, the indians finally gave up a run today, at least it was unearned!
i have hafner martinez and lee in my pool
this first two are shiting the bed...
ive got hafner too. and thome. and manny.
so many big name players are under-achieving ths season, it sucks.
jays have the best pitching in the league.... they better start hitting

but he is a great baseball player
and i have TBS as well. but i only watch it for sporting events
C.C. Sabathia trade supposedly about to happen to the Brewers.
good for them, but the Indians look like they'll get some huge prospects.
apperently they want more than milwakee is willing to give up
how the hell do the cubs get 7 all-stars 3 (of them starting) while my sox only get 2?!?!?
even the best team in baseball has only 2 all-stars (Rays)

the indians got their man, but it is sad to see CC go even though i know we had no chance of resigning him. i hope he leads to the brewers going to the WS, ive always liked the brewers (maybe its the beer and sausage ;D). CC has always been one of my favorite players

thank you sir. exactly. soriano doesnt deserve shit.
also, i'm glad CC is finally out of this division and the AL actually. i would definitely like to see the Brewers come out on top of that NL central.
the tribe just swept the rays! hopefully this is a sign of things to come
jays management have pissed me off this year
we got rid of thomas and reed johnson for nothing
GM is definately doneski at the end of the season
well reed johnson went to the cubs, who somehow in recent years get absolute steals of trades. most recent example is harden and gaudin for 3 scrub players...
reed johnson is all heart... willing to stand infront of a pitch or dive to make a play
GRIFFEY TO SOX!!! holy crap my favorite player as a kid is on my team
kind of a shame that this didnt happen 10 years ago though
he's still good
if he doesn't get hurt walking down some stairs
haha thats true, i remember a few years back when Sosa was with the Cubs, he had to on the DL cuz he sneezed.

wow we were all wrong about the Indians though (sorry Goldpony) and i'm sorry for Corleone....if only the Blue Jays got hot a little earlier, I wouldve loved to see them get in the playoffs instead of Boston.
and the Brewers sure suck now. every year they find a way to screw things up, kind of like the Mets

:( i know. this whole city is all stoked about a L Series, but the Rays are very good, so the Sox chances are very slim
and the Angels for that matter are awesome. personally, i just hope the cubs lose, I've got my Dodgers hat ready for tonight, lol
dodgers were awesome yesterday night. :D
and the red sox won since a long time this season against the angels !!
what a wonderful night
boston surprised me, i thought the angels were going come out and crush them.
and let's hope the dodgers can keep that pitching up tonight. it's Billingsley/Zambrano tonight. should be good!
oh yeah and go White Sox

tampa has such bad bandwagon fans...
sorry for you, the rays are in AL final, too bad!!
go red sox tonight :)
yeah....shit
revised prediction sure to be wrong
boston and la in the world series, winner: boston
I hope so.
but it will not be easy .
the regular season wasnt that good for the red sox against rays!
DODGERS all the way, preferably against TB.
i hate the red sox, and their fans too, just as bad as cubs fans. that and i despise kevin youkilis and jason varitek
however, it would be great to see Manny annihilate his former team in the world series
if they beat the rays, they have a lot of chance to win the world series :p
go red sox :)
the game thursday at frenway park was totally crazy!
before the beginning , rays leads ALCS 3 to 1.
before the 7th inning, rays leads calmly the game 5 to 0.
and what???
red sox were totally awesome, lose 7 to 0 and win this game 8 to 7
go sox tonight in tropicana stadium
yeah I'm skipping work to watch some sports today
this could be another epic collapse, along the lines of the great Cubs collapses.
and I just realized that under Francona, the BoSox are 9-1 in elimination games. the only elimination loss was in '05 when the white sox swept those pricks under the rug
here it goes : world series between Phillies and rays!!!
i hope it will be Phillies!!
but rays are good this season
pretty much every series i have predicted has been wrong, so i'm not doing any world series predictions. but the rays do remind me of the '05 sox.
I love the phillies and hate the rays... except longoria that guy is safe.
the rays look reeeeally good. scary good
since nobody else did, i guess i will
Congrtulations Philly!
lol yeah. kind of a lame world series, but better the phillies than some NY team or boston again
amen brotha
congrats to phillies, not a good WS, but i'm happy rays didnt win.
i'm gonna watch Nhl season now :)

LOL, too bad he plays for the rangers. tho maybe by 2030 they'll be good
the league is actually in year 2033 right now...
so have the rangers figured out they need a domed stadium to be competive by 2033?
nah, they're perfectly happy scoring 10 runs a game and seeing their team ERA at around 15.00
baseball is in such bad times right now, the only stories are the off field variety..
yeah, im actually pretty sick of the whole PED thing. i just want to move on
i know, it pisses me off. but i just try to ignore it since it is officially spring training now. yay!!!
glad it's baseball season. going to the white sox opening day today! and i remember doing this last year, so I'll go ahead and make my super-early postseason predictions:
AL East: Boston
AL Central: Minnesota
AL West: LA Angels
AL wild card: Tampa Bay
NL East: NY Mets
NL Central: Cubs
NL West: Dodgers
NL wild card: Phillies
World Series: Boston over the Mets
go cubs
It's pretty early but the jays haven't played this well since 1993. Killing it in everyways possible.
Aron Hill and Lind are solid players...
yeah man they are surprising me. as are the Royals, who don't have any hitting, but some great pitching.
and my team is facing your team this weekend. we're fucked, especially if we have to see Halladay.

thome almost ruined the sweep
:P
haha well you didn't have to worry, we can never score more than 2 runs per game anyways. plus our pitching is definitely not good either. it's funny how i've already given up on my team... but my second favorite team (Dodgers) is still doing well, even without Manny.
thank god i still have hockey, for now... :-\ and at least i think i've got a few of you guys rooting for the Hawks ;D
.....ok now we are supposedly in the running for Peavy. wow that could POTENTIALLY change the AL Central....
I heard he blocked the trade, wants to stay in the NL.
Oh well... atleast it cant get worse than 20-1
Jays are starting to slip... Boston and the Yanks huuuuuh
yea that was one of the worst days in recent memory for a sox fan

biggest catch i've seen. 2nd best day for a Sox fan. ever.
sweet catch I must say
Halladay may have played hus last game in Toronto...
i don't know, i think he could stay in toronto. you guys have a hefty price tag on him and i think a lot of GM's are afraid to commit multiple top prospects.
Good luck to the Sox with Rios, hes pretty clutch but a very soft individual. Man I wish we kept Reed Johnson... man that guy played hard.
yeah I think Johnson's injured now, but I try not to care about the Cubs, lol. But I was going to ask you about Rios; I remember him being pretty killer the last few years. Our tv announcers have always been big fans of Rios. I am pretty excited about him solving our CF issues, but his numbers are down this year.
Hopefully having him and Peavy locked in for a few years makes us incredible next year.
He is good with runners in scoring position, I hear you guys might have him bat lead off. Good luck eitherway, now we need to get rid of Wells... guy makes as much as A-Rod.
thanks buddy. but I do feel bad for you. It seemed like Halladay was gonna be gone and you were going to get some good stuff in return, and compete this year.
The sooner Toronto starts winning the better because I would love to see Boston and NY be in 4th and 5th place in that division.
The funny thing is a couple years back we could have got Lincecum for Rios.
Halladay
Lincecum
Marcum
Cecil
Romero
huuuuh either way I'm cheering for the Giants to make the wild card. I hate the AL right now... lol fucking juice monkeys everywhere!
it's gettin pretty intense right now if you're a twins fan... GO SOX!!!!
haha yeah we feel kind of bad about last year, stealing the division and all. So taking 2 out of 3 at Detroit this weekend is repayment, dude. Good luck, it would be hilarious to see the Tigers fuck this whole season up and lose the division on the last day.
haha yeah, thank you chicago!
Doesn't really matter though, anyone in our division was bound to get worked by the fuckin yankees anyways.
that is true, man
I've got Yankees/Dodgers in the Series. LA is my 2nd favorite team, hopefully they win it all
Yankees Win! 27th Title
Anyday now Halladay will be traded :(
He's going to win a championshi[, hopefully with an NL team
just not the cubs, please.
Atleast the phillies are a team I like... don't know why they got rid of lee though.
If I'm a GM, I would rather have Halladay. He is more of a proven pitcher in my opinion. People quickly forget that in just 2007 Cliff Lee had an ERA over 5.00 and was injury plagued for awhile. That said, the addition of Lee in Seattle along with Milton Bradley and Chone Figgins should make things interesting in the AL West.
Seattle is making a lot of good moves. I think they have to be the favorite in the West, even if they are lacking a powerful bat. If the Rangers can pitch at all this year, I think the Angels are a third place team.
From what I have heard, Lee was looking to break the bank as a free agent after this season, so I'm not surprised they dealt him. However if the Phillies kept Lee after dealing for Halladay, and then let him walk after 2010, they would have to be the favorites to win the Series, even over the NYY. Plus they would have got the first round picks as compensation for losing Lee.
I agree, the AL West looks to be vastly improved. It's a shame for my Sox though. With the addition of Peavy, Rios, and now Juan Pierre, I was really getting excited about 2010. But damn, now the entire American League has some big talent.
i can't wait to see all of the indians great players.....
.....play for someone else >:(
finally! baseball season is here! looks like Philly will be the only NL team to have a chance again this year. i think the AL is looking more dominant than ever, with maybe 8 teams that could at least fight for the playoffs. my picks:
AL East: Yanks
AL Central: White Sox
AL West: Texas
AL WC: Seattle
NL East: Philly
NL Central: St. Louis
NL West: Dodgers
NL WC: Atlanta
World Series: NY over Atl
Phillies are winning this year, fuck the yankees.
go jays... lol w00t youth movement
As of right now, I'm gonna have to go with my Twins for the AL Central, and maybe even the whole AL. They've been lookin super sick and energized so far this season for the most part, but they are a Minnesota team so the choking possibility is always high.
i would be a little worried about this joe mauer injury. however, right now at least you only have the tigers to worry about in the central.
yeah it should definitely be an interesting season for the twins. glad joe's back, still have yet to see the new stadium though. all i hear about is how titties it is. I feel like a should get at least a discount on a ticket since my taxes paid for part of it.

GTFO WHITE SOX!! :P
jk, they worked us last night. did you see that sick ass hr steal by rios today? god, i was pissed, i mean it would've been worse if we were behind at that point, but I really can't gripe about outfielders stealin homers, it's wicked fun to see.
lol yeah man that was a good game, and konerko just missed tying it in the 9th off rauch. right now you guys are just so much better than us, we can't get everyone on the same page offensively and that is really pissing me off.
and shit, rios is the man, i'm glad we got him even though he had a terrible 2009. he can play great defense, and today's game snapped his 12 game hitting streak. but damn, i remember when he first came up with toronto he always destroyed sox pitching.
yeah dude. I'm pretty stoked on our team, I just hope the can hold it together the whole year. Is there a shitload of new players on the sox? that never helps team continuity.
yeah a completely different team when compared to last year's team that relied on the HRs. but these most of the new guys are veterans that are getting big money, so wtf
main reason i dont like mlb; 2 much 1 on 1
OMG did anyone see that.....Umpire blew the call at first that would of been a Perfect Game it was not even close he was out,
lol yeah that does suck. but then it happened in a tigers/indians game, so who cares.
actually what i said above was pretty stupid, even though i hate both teams. i just really want to know what it will take for bud selig to pull his head out of his ass and bring instant replay to mlb. EVERYONE knows it was a bad call. the ump admitted it. everyone took it well, especially galarraga and the tigers fans. seriously, just give everyone what they want.
Yeah, but I guarantee all of the controversy is going to make this perfect game a lot more memorable for the pitcher and baseball fans... and especially that umpire haha.
I do deep down inside truly feel sorry for the ump. But he blew that call! He must feel like shit now.
Yeah dude, I didn't see this for sure, but I heard after he saw the replay he went up to the pitcher in tears apologizing to him. That would definitely suck.
well if that had happened to Carlos Zambrano, i think it's safe to guess that he would've choked the ump. hahahaha...cubs hahaha
what's amazing and shocking is the fact that the Sox have caught up to Minnesota and Detroit by 8 games in less than 2 weeks. YESSS!
wow the sox got in first before the break! what a comeback in the last month they've made.
I really hope Carlos Santana is alright. That hit he took last night was nasty. I mean how can the Indians trade him in a couple years if he is seriously injured :D
that did look like a pretty serious injury. at least his hands and fingers are okay so he can get back to playing guitar.
Zing! lol
i would love it if the Indians swept Minnesota this weekend. thank you.
Sorry buddy!! Twins win!

I'm a Barry Bonds fan and find this trial bullshit to be a joke, just move on already. He didn't harm anyone...
go jays...fear bautista's stare down
fuck Bonds. i'm sick of hearing about steroids though. but at the same time how do we handle the records? literally put an asterisk there? just ignore that he broke the HR record? this is far from over too, we still have that asshole Clemens' trial to go through.
anyways, with what counts (now) i'll give my annual predictions which are rarely correct:
AL East: Boston
AL Central: Chicago
AL West: Texas
AL Wild Card: Oakland
NL East: Philadelphia
NL Central: Cincinnati
NL West: San Diego
NL Wild Card: Atlanta
World Series: Philly over Texas
That AL East is looking interesting with Baltimore and Toronto at the top. That's fucking hilarious since I despise Boston with a passion, they're on pace to go 0-162! You better fear the ChiSox though. Our offense is looking unbelievably awesome so far. We've really only got one weakness, our bullpen, and that's with 4 above average relievers (the other 3 are absolutely god-awful).

Having Baltimore a bit better is just what Toronto needs in order to be competitive, parody is the only way we have a chance. We're pretty young though, so theres some hope.
Our GM Alex Anothopolous is a genius IMO, how he got rif of vernon wells 20 million I'll never know.
AL East: Boston
AL Central: Chicago
AL West: Texas
AL Wild Card: LAA (jays? lol)
NL East: Philadelphia
NL Central: Cincinnati
NL West: San Francisco
NL Wild Card: Atlanta
You don't think SanFrancisco will make the playoffs?
haha that was miraculous how he dumped Wells. to me for the first time in years the NL actually looks competitive. the Braves and Phils will be really good. The Central will probably be meh. But that NL West could be ridiculous. if healthy, the Rockies make things interesting. and I really like the Giants too, but someone has to be left out in the wild card. I think the Padres pitching will be really good. look out for Clayton Richard, who they got from the Sox for Peavy.
Wow, halfway through the season, and half my picks were terrible... THE PITTSBURGH PIRATES ARE IN FIRST PLACE. End of the world = now.
im pretty close, the reds will still win the division, didnt see pitt or cleveland coming though, and yanks will prob get the wildcard, could be the angels though
I'd be surprised if either Boston or NY miss the playoffs. I'm really upset with the White Sox, though. They would be in first place if Adam Dunn and Alex Rios weren't having the worst seasons of any athlete ever.
lol @ boston
crappy for braves, i like the braves, but lol @ boston

baseball is awesome. i just have the unfortunate problem of being a cub fan. either way, the braves chocked and the red sox choked. letting the cardinals in was awful.
Jays win in an epic start to the season!
Good luck with Santos as your closer. Guy's a boss.
And I'm kind of ashamed to admit that the first game I attend this season is tomorrow at Wrigley instead of The Cell. But hey it's in the rooftops, which I've never experienced... and it's all you can eat/drink.
Josh Hamilton is amazing.
So is Adam Dunn.
Yeah he's not doing to bad in the Homer department. but he's still batting under .300. Josh is batting .407 17 homers 40 RBI. and hes only played 31 Games. only 3 people have had a 30 game stretch like this in MLB history. If he stays healthy he could win the triple crown. that hasn't been done since 1967.
Yeah, it's only May, but still. He's WAY ahead in average, HRs, and RBIs over everyone else.
yea and there's no guarantee he play's 100 games. The way he plays, takin headers into first base, running full speed into the wall. But, I hope he stays healthy.
i am a huge SF Giants fan. and i really cant describe how proud of the team i am. and what a great group of guys they have on their staff. it just seems like they are all such good men, and they really deserve whats happening to them.
even if i wasnt a giants fan, id be cheering for these guys.
Jays just got a lot better
Buehrle can't be happy about where his career is taking him.
Go Jays?

Go Jays?
This past week has been very exciting for me as a Jays fan.
They just hired Gibbons. Why re-hire him? Didn't he clash with players in his previous tenure, along with not live up to expectations?
