i stumbled over this band some days ago and im pleseantly surprised.
i can't really define the genre... but they're really good.

I dislike: 1) how typically "indie" they sound
2) the vocals.. too somewhat british for me

Could be my favourite band ever! I doubt Eskimo Snow is gonna be as good as Alopecia, or Elephant Eyelash for that matter, but I'm sure I'm gonna dig it anyways.

And The blackest purse, yeah I dig it. I hope it's not the strongest track on the album though. I heard there's no rapping what so ever on the new album, which is kind of a bummer. I like Yoni's spoken, deep-voice semi-singing rap or whatever you wanna call it.

More people need to check out these guys. They're REALLY growing on me.
Especially 'Elephant Eyelash'. Such a cool album. Really different sound. I think their sound is kinda sad and melancholic. Suits my mood at the moment.
So yeah, Eskimo Snow ain't that great. It's not bad, I listen to it every now and then, but not so awesome as previous albums. After all, it's just "leftovers" from Alopecia anyway so I'm not worried.

Been reppin' these guys since early '08. Seriously love them. One of my top favorites. Eskimo Snow took a little while to grown on me but I instantly LOVED Elephant Eyelash and Alopecia. They were one of the most spectacular live bands in the freakin' world until the became a five piece but at least the extra manpower affords them the ability to play a lot of songs that they wouldn't have been able to pull off too well before.
Yoni is one of the dopest lyricists in the world.
