It's at least nice to see that the SFX are practical and it's low on CGI.
It's seems to be a much darker version. Not very funny at all. The humor is what makes the evil dead series stick out.

Yeah, the humor was what made the series a classic for me. Still pumped for this though, looks good. Could be a good compliment to Cabin in the Woods.

LMAO Holy shit I remember making jokes about this movie,when a friend on High school brought it for a long trip we were doing.He got so mad he took it out of the DVD from the bus.Always hated this movie because it was more like a joke than something serious.We will see where this one goes.One more thing,another fucking remake? What is next Hellraiser?The Fly?

It has been a long time since I've seen the first Evil Dead, but I recall it being more scary than funny.
The film looks promising (especially its cinematography), but can we please stop putting fucking dubstep in every damn movie trailer?
I definitely think the first Evil Dead is a lot more horror than comedy. I has some pretty freaky parts.
Evil Dead 2, though, is much more on the comedy side.

There's a cabin, the Necronomicon, Deadites, chainsaws and raping trees. I'd say it has quite a lot to do with the Evil Dead.

This looks like it may be one of the better remakes. Looking forward to it. I'm a huge fan of the Evil Dead trilogy, but no Ash?! Ah well...
