QuoteDidn't we have a thread about satanism here a while back?

I thought the same too, and I tried to search for it, but couldn't find it... Must have disappeared with the board upgrade...

That said, anyone heard the new Dimmu Borgir? I just got it yesterday and heard some bits here and there. The beginning reminded me of Imperial March from Star Wars but a quick scan revealed some good stuff.
Yes, I've heard it too. I was listining to it almost everyday a while back, so I bought myself a sweater from Dimmu :P But anyways, there new album is kickass, it's not very different from their other work, but still quite good. I like it.

I really dig this album, too. Can't wait till after work to give it a fuller listen!

So what do you guys think of the concept of "in sorte diaboli"?

I can't stop listening to this album and it's absolutely awesome, not just the concept alone but the way that they execute it.

So I listened to the new Behemoth and it sounds good. Nothing mind-blowing so far but I'll give it a 7.5/10.

I would rate it for: 8.5/10

I love the tubes and choir - fucking amazing shit. Drumming is not as good as in Demigod though.

I'm looking for some suggestions.
I really like the music of bands like Cult Of Luna and Nuerosis, but I really don't like their singers.
Does anyone know a good sludge band that has a good singer, in otherwords were the singer doesn't scream or shout constantly?

Thanks for any recommendations :)

oldgentlovecraft

I think the point of sludge is to sound as, well, sludgy as possible so the vocals are supposed to be a bit rough.  Like doom?  Try some Candlemass or Electric Wizard.

First band springing to my mind is Khoma. Apparently there are same people than in Cult Of Luna and they have a similar sound and feeling but Khoma isn't as heavy.

I know what you mean OGLC, but it's not my sort of thing, even though I love the music.

Thanks to both of you :)  I'll try out those bands )

try out Kylesa. they are a nice sludgy band with actually 3 singers one of them being a woman.
