God Is An Astronaut is probably my favorite post-rock band. They're really amazing.

well, i'd say it's my favorite and the only post-rock band i like

Yeah, i love Sigur Ros, but they are not really post-rock, they are more ambient/experimental/something cool

Have you listened to Explosions In the Sky and Godspeed You! Black Emperor? They're fantastic aswell.

[2008] This Will Destroy You

a much better alternativ to Explosions, who bore me after about a song (except for All of a Sudden..., that album was really good).

Yeah I agree with you, All Of A Sudden I Miss Everyone is the only album I really like by Explosions... I know a few people who think 'Your Hand In Mine' is one of the greatest post-rock songs ever written, I can't understand why... I should be getting the This Will Destroy You Album and a t-shirt through the post (no pun) any day now... And will be seeing them live soon!

The streets have gone dark. They've been dark for days. We board up the house. Hide upstairs and wait!
