Yep, curious about it after the trailer.  Sounded interesting.

really looking forward to this album, but I'm not getting my hopes up. the song for Avengers was mediocre and the others snippets I've heard all sound mellow as fuck. they can do mellow, definitely. but they need a good amount of heavy as well.

I just discovered Black Rain (where the hell was I?) and was disappointed when I realized it's not a new song from the album, but rather a really old tune. man, why can't they write stuff like this anymore?

They will never be that heavy and good again.  But even though the trailer is soft, it sounds very Soundgarden and interesting to me.  More along the lines of Down on the Upside.

the Soundgarden I love is slow, sludgy, heavy and doesn't play in 4/4.

Soundgarden is one of my favorite bands, but I don't really like this song too much. The song that goes with the trailer is pretty sweet though, so i'm not too worried about the new album.

It sounds kind of like what I expected a new single from them to sound like.  It sounds pretty forgettable and isn't even a good single.  Definitely nothing special about it.  Kind of like the second and third Audioslave albums.

it's a pretty ordinary rock song. sounds more like something off of Stone Temple Pilot's latest album than something Soundgarden would ever create. too much rock'n'roll for them. I hope the rest of the album doesn't sound like this, or it'll be a huge disappointment.

I`m thinking the new album is gonna be pretty lame.  Chris Cornell solo meets Audioslave is my thinking.  The weaker Audioslave stuff too, like the last 2 albums.

King Animal is streaming for free on ITunes. Upon first listen I can't tell if its a grower or if its phoned in. Some songs really stand out and others seem like rehashed versions of old songs. I reserve judgment

Love Soundgarden. These guys scared the crap out of me with the "Black Hole Sun" video when I was little. I don't know why it just creeped me the eff out!

November 13th release of their new album King Animal. And Koi No Yokan?! This will be a long time since I actually went to a store and bought cd's. lol
