america has some good beer. lost coast brews (great white, downtown brown)  from humboldt? sierra nevada?

I got pretty shitty off Sierra Nevada in the woods. That was exciting. And delicious.

thats funny. i just came into this thread to ask how sierra nevada is. a friend of mine recommended it to me.

im gonna get that in a few days
Im not a big fan of sierra nevada.  bad after taste

all pale ales have a ton of hops so of course its gonna have a strong bitter flavor

lol.  I think making beer sounds fun.  Maybe thats just me though

Don't know about the fun factor of the process but the end products I've tasted weren't good at all. I'm not so poor nor patient to brew my own beer.

About Newcastle, I've tasted it about 5 years ago and didn't like it then but maybe I should give it another chance since everyone's talking about it. I would recommend finnish beers (Lapin Kulta, Karhu, Koff etc.) but I think availability would be a problem in foreign countries.

dude, your a fellow tool fan. so i must recommend that you do go ahead and get yourself newcastle. i basically compare all beers to it

people drink guiness all wrong, and your really supposed to put it on top of other beers.. but with newcastle. its just so good on its own.. such a smooth taste for such a dark brown ale

Yeah, I think I'll have a Newcastle tomorrow (along with a case of other beer and a bottle of Jägermeister, naturally). I'm just so used to domestic beers that they've become a standard for me and I compare every other beer to them. Though that standard might differ a lot from other cultures.

^^ haha. nice one.

Necrocetaceanbeastiality

I'm having one right now and I'm not even halfway through and I have a killer buzz. Man this shit is good. This is the only dark beer I actually like. And boy howdy is it dark. It tastes like...chocolate...and bread...and...citrus or something.

I have a new favorite beer, fellas and things that are not fellas.

tarkil

Damn, how come I don't know about this beer ?

Looks awesome... I'm gonna check it on Google....

It's brewed in San Diego. Maybe that has something to do with it.

It's expensive; even here.
