For those  that are too bored to catch up with the whole thread, a post with links / information on all my releases up to this date.

THE DREAMS SERIES (ambient/experimental/neo-classical)

the Picturesque Episodes - Dreams I

"Gorgeous organic ambiance. Go to the park on the sunniest day this summer and take a nap in the grass with these sounds piping through your headphones. Trust me."

the Picturesque Episodes - Dreams II

"The second installment in the Picturesque Episodes' Dreams series features twelve tracks of remarkably soothing ambiance with titles such as "March of the Moths" and "I Keep Dreaming Places I've Never Been." A wonderful follow-up to the fantastic Dreams."

the Picturesque Episodes - Dreams III

"The third installment of the Dreams project is the height of Darius Gerulis' work as the Picturesque Episodes. Continuing the themes of its prequels, the album is warmly ambient with myriad sparkling artifacts and textures that keep the listener engaged. The crumpled guitar textures in the third track, épisode I: Le Petit Prince are vaguely reminiscent of Steven R. Smith, however the evolution of the piece is highly unique and exhibits profound evidence of Gerulis' strength as a composer. Dreams III leaves behind an astounding expectation of things to come. This is not a release to be missed. "

OTHER ALBUMS (post-rock/instrumental/experimental)

the Picturesque Episodes - Strange Lights and Ornaments

"Strange Lights and Ornaments is a few steps away from the Picturesque Episodes' previous Wise Owl releases (Dreams and Dreams II) and shows the mastery with which Darius Gerulis blends post-rock guitar riffs and swelling ambient soundscapes."

the Picturesque Episodes - Lonesome Sky in H Minor

The most successful album up to date.
The Sirens Sound recommends for every interested listener to start with this album.

Thirst is a new direction of yours, nice spin to your style. I do love this one to death.

I did enjoy recording it a lot. You'll see more of generalized "rocky" sound in this album. This album is definitely more "rock" driven over "ambient". Though, of course, there are enough silent/calm/sweet moments. But I am enjoying myself with bringing everything to this direction.

Darius, Could you upload track 6 from Dream III? that file failed when I downloaded it.

By the way, I've been having one of dreams III's song on eternal repeat for the entire day at work (it sounds confusing, I think you get the idea). A partner of mine said you music makes him feels good.

lostpilot

which song is it anyway? I'm really interested!

btw, you really missed out an awesome track by not having the track 6.
it's 'MiGla AuGul-Glos / the Glow'. pretty much my favorite track on this album. but you have to listen to it with track 5.. you know :)

Bright Lights !..Why the fuck are you so damn awesome? Cant you be a piece of shit sometimes?

Crazylegs

I listened all the way through it, and i found most of it to be very interesting. I like the "heavier" and more dense parts. The highlight for me was the first track. I'm still not too fond of the programmed drums, though i guess it makes the whole progress easier for you.

Jacob

I'm gonna check it out later tonight. pretty excited to hear it, I've liked everything I've heard from you before.
pray nightfall release me
then i could wander, wander to deep sleep

The Floating Mountains is definitely my favorite track. especially the final minute of it.

I've noticed that some people see this track as a stand out - especially, the breakdown-final-minute-thing.
And for me personally it's quite interesting how the song evolved through a couple of years, and changed from a ambient-driven piano song to a rocking-out harmony-noise song :) weird!
