as long as the new album completely ignores that light grenades ever happened i'll be cool with it. i love every other incubus album but god do i ever fucking hate light grenades.

EDIT: new song is meh but i guess i can't really hear what mike is doing and that's usually the highlight for me. his stuff on a crow left of the murder was phenomenal. i'm really hoping they up the energy a little bit.

i only like anna molly and barely at that. love hurts and stuff like that just ruined it for me. it seemed they were selling out to the college fan douchbag bro crowd, which incubus is surprisingly popular with. it just all seemed a bit dumbed down for me. the lyrics were really weak compared to the old brandon.

EDIT: okay on second thought, after listening to anna molly for the first time in a long while it's a pretty damn good song. still can't change my mind about the rest of the album which is a shame. they're incredibly talented guys. hopefully the well hasn't run dry, and judging from brandon's solo album it hasn't (for him at least). i'll probably still pick up their new album when it comes out.
