No avant-garde thread would be complete without SWANS

I recommend checking out these albums even though all of them are fantastic.

SWANS

'The great annihilator'
'Soundtracks for the blind'
'White light from the mouth of infinity'
'Love of life'

They were an amazing band.

M. Gira (singer/guitarist/genius SWANS) also has a project called Angels of Light - Check out 'New mother'.

Just saw Kayo Dot for the first time. Absolutely phenomenal. Also, I got two panty shots. Mia is such a babe.

maudlin of the Well is an American avant-garde progressive metal band from Boston, Massachusetts who formed in 1996 and disbanded in 2003, revived in 2008. Their music contained elements from many different genres including sludge metal, doom metal, indie rock, and new age. In late 2001, motW began working on a fourth studio album. During this time, the band lost longtime members, changed labels, and ultimately renamed themselves to Kayo Dot. This fourth motW album was released in 2003 as Kayo Dotís Choirs of the Eye. http://www.myspace.com/maudlinofthewell
