Difficult one:

st) Deftones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A very distant:
nd) Soundgarden (Chris Cornell's voice is sounding AMAZING on their reunion tour - don't know how he's doing it, but it sounds like it did around 'Badmotorfinger' - VERY VERY IMPRESSIVE!!!!! - it's enough to forgive him for the Timbaland episode and wipe it from my memory!
rd) Smashing Pumpkins (but not after '95 and especially not after the 'reunion' - I wish Billy had used another name - it just taints their legacy for me)
th) Mark Lanegan (such a great voice - please do your senses a favour and listen to 'Bubblegum' if you're not familiar with his music - A MASTERPIECE!!!!!
th) Faith No More
th) Chevelle
th) Queens of the Stone Age
th) The White Stripes
th) White Zombie (before Rob went solo)
th) R.E.M. (new album out Monday btw and so far it's sounding really good)
th) Nirvana - still love them!
th) Jamiroquai (the new album - Rock Dust Light Star is absolutely brilliant - the arrangements are masterful!)
th) Nine Inch Nails
th) Alice In Chains (also great new album, I like the new singer's voice but he doesn't have the aura of Layne Staley who is really missed - however at least he doesn't try to imitate Layne and brings his own style with him - and it works, it's a different AIC but it works and a new, different AIC is definitely better than no AIC at all!  I'm sure Layne would be proud - Jerry Cantrell is such a talent - what a shame and waste of talent it would have been for him to pack it in)
th) System of a Down
th) Placebo
th)The Kills (note : NOT the Killers who I detest!)
P.S. not really well known but really worth giving a try
th) Pantera
th) The Pixies
th) Tool
st) Korn
