Quote from: Breaking Bad Wiki
Breaking Bad is an American television drama series created and produced by Vince Gilligan. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and broadcast in the United States and Canada on the cable network AMC. It premiered on January 20, 2008, and completed its first seven-episode season on March 9, 2008. The show's 13-episode second season ran from March 8 to May 31, 2009. The third season began on March 21, 2010.

Set and produced in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Breaking Bad is the story of Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a struggling high school chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with terminal lung cancer at the beginning of the series. He breaks down and turns to a life of crime, producing and selling methamphetamine with his former student Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) in a desire to secure his family's financial future.

Breaking Bad has received widespread critical acclaim, particularly for its writing as well as Bryan Cranston's and Aaron Paul's performances, and has won four Emmy Awards in addition to numerous other awards and nominations.

anyone else watch this show? Third season is in full swing and amazing. Highly recommend it to fans of the wire, and the sopranos.

YEAH DUDE!!! Best show on tv after Lost, in my opinion. Is this the beginning of the great downfall of Walt? he's seems to have gone completely off the reservation with last night's episode.

I'm also digging the 2 mexican brothers. I get an awesome No Country For Old Men vibe from them.

I loved The Sopranos and The Wire was just the absolute greatest. Also, I saw The Daily Show earlier and Hal was on there plugging this shit. I'm gonna check it out.

Walt is definitely losing it. Skyler is such a B for screwing Ted. The two brothers are awesome, I get what you mean about the no country vibe. Did you catch that bit on the radio about jesse's ex-girlfriend's dad attempting suicide?

Tonedef check it out man it's pretty good once you stop thinking malcom is gonna be walking inthe next scene

Honestly, Sunny has been getting weak.  It's still good though.  Right now, Breaking Bad is untouchable.  Cranston is an amazing actor.

You thought season 5 was weak?

Probably my favorite season so far.

goddamnit now theis put me in the mood for a list. for some reason with movies i rarely choose comedies for oscar contention, so i just do the same with tv shows.

Best comedies on the air:
Sunny In Philly
30 Rock
The Office
Community
Parks/Rec
Venture Bros.
Archer
South Park

Best of every other genre:
Lost
Breaking Bad
Sons of Anarchy
Mad Men
Fringe
The Pacific

Did you catch that bit on the radio about jesse's ex-girlfriend's dad attempting suicide?
yeah that whole ending of the episode with him driving was incredible. so tense.

I'm really gonna get into this shit man. The Americans do serials like no one else. TV in the UK is fucking wank. All my favourite shows, The Wire in particular, are from the US.

I watch the inbetweeners and top gear along with kitchen nightmares on BBC America. So don't feel too bad.

Edit: best comedies
modern family
big bang theory
the office
30 rock
the inbetweeners
glee

and the only two other shows I'm watching are lost and breaking bad.

The Inbetweeners is great. Fucking love it. Top Gear is ok.. entertaining but that show annoys me. It used to be a very different programme. It ran for years and was actually about cars. I used to love watching it when I was a kid. Then they axed it and it relaunched as the show it is today. It's very entertaining but it got too big for itself and became less about the cars. What really, really bugs me about it is how they act like it's all spur of the moment, on the fly and shit.. But it's so, so scripted. Taking its audience for mugs.

Kitchen Nightmares is good. I love Ramsay. I met him once. I will say that if there's one thing us Brits do better, it's reality shows. We get a lot of the US versions of shit like The Apprentice, Kitchen Nightmares USA (I realise The Apprentice was originally US) and fuck me.. How much is that shit dramatised, staged and over dramatic? It ruins it. It's so, so fake. We do it way better. However, our shit is getting more like that all the time which sucks. The UK apprentice is really, really good.

I'm in the US right now.. and how many fucking commercial breaks do you have?!?! It's insane!!! They're great adverts though.. Really well done.

The UK has titties and swearing though, so that's another win.

commercials here are insane. because of the commercials, our normal hour-long shows are like 40-45 mins. swearing is finally being accepted on basic cable, which is sweet. but we'll never get b00bs on the air.

wow tonight's episode was one of most tense hours of television in quite some time. Hank is about to murder someone. and I really can't trust this new lab assistant from The Wire. his character is just too good to be true.

seems like all other fuckers on this board with any decent taste in television need to watch this show. from the beginning.

the last 2 episodes have possibly been 2 of the best hours of television in years. i've said it before and i'll say it again, i can't wait for Lost to end so I can officially declare this the greatest show currently on the air.

last week's episode had so much shit hit the fan, and its title was "Half Measures".

so that could only mean that even bigger shit will happen in tonight's finale titled "Full Measure".

and apparently i'm the only one watching this, the best show on tv.

i'm watching the first season at the moment. So you're not alone. I wouldn't say that this is the best show on tv, but it is pretty good.

yeah i know those, but i talking about some material that we will never see on basic cable tv in america. those programs are on premium channels that we have to pay so much extra. whereas, when i was went to europe several years ago, there was like softcore porn on after the news at night.

the cursing and violence is mainstream nowadays, even on the big networks like nbc and fox.
