LOSTPROPHETS members Lee Gaze (guitar), Mike Lewis (guitar), Stuart Richardson (bass), Jamie Oliver (keyboards) and Luke Johnson (drums) have released the following statement regarding the arrest of their singer, Ian Watkins, on charges of sexual offenses against children:
"Following charges made today against Ian Watkins, we find ourselves in a state of shock. We are learning about the details of the investigation along with you. It is a difficult time for us and our families, and we want to thank our fans for their support as we seek answers."
Watkins was reportedly refused bail and will remain in custody until December 31. Along with him, two women aged 20 and 24 have been remanded in custody on similar charges.The 35-year-old musician is charged with conspiracy to engage in sexual activity with a one-year-old girl and possession/distribution of indecent images of children.
Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Peter Doyle said: "Specially trained staff are available to speak to anyone with concerns or information regarding this investigation and a dedicated telephone number has been set up."I want to encourage anyone who has any concerns or information which they think may be relevant to contact us."Safeguarding children involved in such cases is always a high priority and as such measures have already been taken."

Never heard of the band but that's fucked up, atleast they got him before he had the chance to go through with some of the stuff hopefully this isn't one of those things where fans protest he sounds pretty guilty,atleast the boys in prison are going to have a fun time with him even prisoners have morals when it comes to children he'll definitely be targeted.

I always thought their first album was under-rated, after that they tried to jump on the bad hair-cut emo-band wagon and failed.I'm still a believer of innocent until proven guilty regardless of what anyone else thinks but it's looking really bad for this dude.I'm skeptical of anything reported by mass-media though. especially when it involves musicians and sexual miss-conduct.

I feel bad for the rest of the band, I met Mike Lewis and Stuart Richardson a couple of years ago when they played a local festival, they were really down to earth humble guys. Too bad they have to be associated with this piece of shit.
