Next submission is a personal favorite of mine.  Hope you like it.. and if not, who gives a fuck.

By the way.. currently jamming that Of Montreal song ,The Past Is A Grotesque Animal, right now.  Lyrically, this song is excruciatingly genius.  The inflection, the repetition of certain phrases.. The fact it's so fucking poetic, and like 11 fucking minutes long.

Pardon me guys, I'm drunk and just feelin the vibes...  ;D

The Shape of Punk to Come is such an overrated album.

New Noise is a badass song, though.

BillyNo.9

I absolutely love it. I do blame them for modern generic screamo bands though.

Post of the year.

IF ANYTHING, New Noise as a single track is overrated, and the album is definitely not.

I've been to a football stadium where New Noise came up every time the home team scored a goal, or parties where this track was played and the guy with his laptop had no idea there was actually an entire album with New Noise on it.
I've been to rock parties in a club in my town where this song is played at least twice a night and people go nuts to it and not even half of them have heard the entire album... all that makes you think differently about that.

This next one is nice a chill, very relaxing.  They're known for popularizing Trip-Hop in the 90's.

Portishead - Dummy (1994)
Trip-Hop

Biscuit is my personal favorite, it's one of those songs I could listen to on replay for hours.

On my shuffle today this came on, feelin like I'm 15 again.  I was in High school when this came out, in the latter end of the pop-punk craze.  I loved it, still do.  Check it.

Haven't posted in a while, so I figured I'd do this.  The first track says to burn this for everyone you know, so I guess this is the next best thing.  Immortal Technique has been badass for years, and lots of people know him.. but I dunno if people know he's still goin strong.  Everyone knows Dance With the Devil and Revolutionary Vol 1+2 (if you don't, check those out too), but did you know about The Martyr?  Guy's very political, and his metaphors are unmatched.

This album is fantastic, and I only just found it.  They're from Finland.  Fans of ISIS will dig this down.  I can't say I've ever heard any post-metal with jazz influences and sax in it.

Callisto - Noir 2006
Post-Metal

It's worth it to just listen to the whole album, instead of just a couple songs.

"Callisto - Noir"

I just purchased the vinyl off Discogs.  They're fairly small from a global perspective, even if they're big locally in Finland, so you should just purchase their shit instead of downloading illegally.

Great album here folks.  The vocals remind me of Chevelle's cleans mixed with a little Death Cab.  Instrumentally, it's like if you were to take Fall of Troy, tone it down a little, make it quieter, and remove the distortion.  I guess it's considered "Math Rock."  I suppose Science Rock is not as interesting.

Guys...  This week's installment is really very good.  I'm not sure if you've heard of it, but it's a polarizing effort from my favorite band, Deftones.

The name of the album is Gore.
