Inkblades

Yeah, the chorus to Fireal sure is mellow.

I can think of 10 and I really don't know in which order to put them, I really like them all.

-Mascara
-Be Quiet and Drive (accoustic)
-Digital Bath
-Riviere
-Deathblow
-Xerces
-Anniversary
-Lucky You
-Drive (cars cover)
-Sextape

I don't know if covers count or if Minerva and Change are considered mellow, if they are add them to that list.
If we are counting covers then also add Jealous Guy to the list - one of my favourite covers ever!

If I'm pushed to chose 1 favourite, I'll probably go for Mascara.
This live version probably has a lot to do with my love of this song:

Deftones - Mascara (live)

BillyNo.9

U U D D L R L R A B Select Start

TheyCallMeP

Mascara, RX Queen, Digital Bath, Be Quiet and Drive, and Riviere

U,U,D,D,L,R,L,R,Start,Select is a close 6 for me but I don't know if I'd put it above the other tracks listed above. I personally wouldn't mind if they made one or two more instrumental tracks

Disclaimer: I fully acknowledge the conclusion of "Knife Party" is anything but mellow.

Yeah I forgot about that one.
I agree with you!
I love it when an album has a really good instrumental track - it acts as a nice interlude and helps set the mood and create atmosphere

I wish there was some way, if only it were possible, that this Northcal person could stop making new threads on this forum

northcal, do your thing. at least you have personality and stand out from the crowd. for example, if the member deftones667 would begin to write his posts in the member deft_ones123's name and vice versa, nobody would react or notice anything. if your posts would be under another mans name, we would instantly know it's you. do you know what i'm saying

Digitalbathing

I actually just made a playlist with all their mellow stuff.

Anniversary is my all time top fav. Something about the writing style they have done in that song gets me. They have never done anything like it before.

Also Teenager gives me chills every time.

Anniverary was always the only song I used to skip on ST.
When I gave it a bit more of a chance I really got into it and now I really love the song.
It's one of those songs that for me takes longer to get into but once you do, it never gets stale.
To me it feels like it's the connection between  ST and SNW in terms of style.

Digitalbathing

This.

Off to work  ;D now

To be honest, I really do NOT consider half of those mellow in ANY way..  Be quiet (Why does everyone misspell it? quite, quit, whatever.. it's fucking quiet).  Deathblow, mellow???  Hardly, listen to the chorus!  And umm... Fireal?  This one is so not mellow it's fucking ridiculous.  Some of the hardest screams of all fucking time in this song.

1 Xerces
2 Riviere
3 U,u,d,d,l,r,l,r,select,start
4 Lucky You
5 Sextape

Call me what you want... I have ALWAYS skipped Anniversary.  That song is just lame has has very little imagination or thought put into it to me.  Seems like one of those last minute thrown together kinda deals to me...

Same with Teenager.  I could go the rest of my life without that song and be totally fine.  Suck my cock.
