Gee

Yeah noticed that when I saw live footage of the song, it's a shame because I think the studio version is gorgeous -especially the outro.
"When I show up, it's all good" Chino Moreno

yeah, although its more a shame they do the same with fireal. that outro is immense.

on another note, i'd like to see dai the flu making some apperances in the setlist.

Vesanic

Rivière (the audio from the bootleg with a couple of pictures from the show) added to the Portland show post.

Yeah, the Fireal case is even worse, it's one half of the song!

Agreed.  Fireal is one of my favorite songs too so it's like a slap in the face to only hear half of it.

Oh I definitely noticed that they missed more than the outro of Riviere but thought people just didn`t record the whole performance..  They didn`t get all the dynamics of the song.  The 2-ish minutes is all they performed(question mark)

*didn`t add the actual question mark because this keyboard is being gay and using some different symbols that I don`t know how to change.

Deftones - Rivière live @ Roseland Theater, October 12th 2012

This is all they play. It's actually the first time Chino played the very last chords of the song rather than switching to Change intro riff (and I'm pretty glad about that, the very end of the song has something that moves me everytime), but still no full outro, and like I said, they skip one part before the drums kick in.

bewareofrats

That`s lame.  But the longest one I`ve seen yet.

They opened with Feiticeira in Vancouver, that's pretty dope. The songs played may not be changing a lot but the order has been moving!

I'm glad they opened with Feiticeira. Rosemary was a lazy opener imo.

Wonder if they will add more new songs once Koi No Yokan is released.

Vesanic

If I remember well, they used to play up to 8 songs off DE when they toured for its promotion, so yeah, probably.

Hell YES. ;D

Ending the first part of the set with Bloody Cape is awesome.

And this live guide is going very well so far, I'm pretty glad about that.

Going off topic slightly. Vesanic, i see your name on pretty much every deftones vid i see on youtube. Have you ever considered throwing some stuff together in a documentary style video a la entertain me (albeit not as well done).

It'd be great to have a video biography of their journey as a band travelling through the ages, with interviews thrown in between live vids.

I've been thinking about it for years. I've pretty much analyzed every of their eras to death and I can safely say I know my shit quite a bit. But it's a massive work. I started it but laziness always shows up. This was the teaser...

yeah for sure. it's something thats crossed my mind a few times, as deftones are severely lacking a good biography that documents their era's. Unfortunately I lack the editing skills and don't have the number of videos that would be needed.

DeftonesNZ

Man I'd love to make something like that done editing before but don't have the rare footage and don't want to make one that's just all from youtube. would be good to see some new stuff Entertain me was good but it lacked direction needed a narrator or title slides or something to join it together rather than just changing randomly.

Diplo

Ohh shit, who is in the crowd at 00:32 ?
I never seeing the live at the end where Chino throws his guitar ^^ in fact, there is a lot of show we have never seen in this teaser no ?
