It's exclusive to Netflix, but there are some good rips on torrent sites. Show is the tits, pretty much. Yes I know it's a remake of a British mini series from 20 years ago. But this has Kevin Spacey in probably his best role yet, and Robin Wright is near perfection. Amazing writing, and David Fincher's influence is obvious. My favorite parts are when Spacey breaks the 4th wall, and I wish more shows would do it like this.


It's great to see him play one massive game of chess with all the characters and act a certain way, then to turn to the camera and let the viewer know exactly what he's thinking.

My video production professor worked with Kevin Spacey not too long ago on a film--Casino Jack, I believe. Apparently Spacey is very nice to the young men on set and was "super nice" to my gay professor.  It kind of ruined my crush on Kevin Spacey because I realized I will never be his type. BLAHHHH!

Respeck yo. That's pretty funny about Spacey though, I've heard rumors before. But either way he's a total boss in this. I'm already almost finished (sadly I'll probably finish the whole season in a span of about 4 days - I want moar!), and jeez the whole cast is just awesome.

Agreed.  This body of work is truly OUTSTANDING.  I hardly watch TV - or movies because the majority of them are just poor quality.  House of Cards is so well done, I could not stop watching it.   The acting, the art work, the writing, the music, the scenes - I haven't seen that sort of majesty since the Godfather.  I don't even LIKE this sort of ugly politics and evil - but, it's so so so well done - ya just gotta appreciate the splendor and art of it.  Thrilling is an understatement.   I loved that I could watch one after the other too. WHEN I WANTED.   It was truly riveting - like candy! Pardon the cliche - but, it's true.  Way to go Netflix.  I'm shocked and amazed at how you delivered. I hope TV goes online like this.  I have complete control this way!  I don't have to wait until 6 PM on a Sunday night to watch it.  I felt like an adult.  THANK YOU.  You have my business forever.

So I had heard a lot about this show but decided to check it out because of this thread.

Verdict?

I NEED SEASON TWO!!! I believe it is only planned to be two seasons and that's how it should be.

So I just recently came across this series and I've been loving it. In short it's a political drama about a Congressman with an elaborate and corrpt plan to ultimately take over political power in D.C. It's got Kevin Spacey, Robin Wright, Kate Mara ( ). A lot of corruption, betrayal, sex scenes and stuff other than some political shit. All and all it's a damn well directed show.

Big downside: It's a Netflix exclusive. It's borderline illegal, and I'd rather you not waste 8 bucks to watch one show. If you've got it, then I recommend this show to you.
