Producer - The guy in charge. Decides what is recorded, when, how it is recorded, who is doing the recording, adds and takes stuff away to make the basic track sound as great as possible before/whilst it is recorded. Keeps an eye on all the other guys to make sure the tracks are as intended and don't veer too far from the original/intended sound.
Engineer - Uses microphones and amps and stuff to record shit to a computer.
Mixer - Takes the shit the engineer recorded and makes it sound really nice - effects, edits, organisation, etc.
Master - Takes the shit the mixer did and adds some final stuff. If there are multiple tracks (Such as for an album), he makes them sound cohesive and like they're all from the same session, etc. Makes it as loud as possible (You've heard of the loudness war, I take it?). Essentially puts the final touches to the sound and tone.
Most of these jobs are now totally interchangeable, and will often be done by one person. However, they are still different roles, and some people still specialise in only one of these (Personally, I specialise in engineering.)
Here's an even simpler breakdown:
Producer: Cunt in charge
Engineer: Records shit
Mixer: Makes shit sound nice
Masterer: Makes shit sound finished.

From my listen the vocals, drums and bass are inaudible. I can't even feel the kick drum. The best I can hear everything is through my crappy laptop speakers.
What are you listening from? Man, get your laptop, put some good headphones on and enjoy.. Dont tell me youre listening from your phones speaker or something lol everything is crispy clear

Maybe the Reddit people are more fans of the last two albums?

No, they're just stupid.

Nah I've gone round the house listening to it through two stereo systems, earphones and the crappy laptop speaks and everything is fighting for space to be heard. It sounds completely flat to me.

It's funny how now when I go back and listen to the video of Doomer User live, it sounds less shitty and makes more sense since I am also kind of hearing the studio version in my head. Yes the vocals really are off and his voice is hoarse or whatever, but when you compare the performance to the studio version we now know, he really isn't that off in most parts. Can't wait to see if it sounds better in future shows. When is their next show?

Far away

I didnt like it, at all.

pinkmaggit69

It sounds like a cover.  A really awesome cover of some obscure band.  I like it.

Drinks won't stain this birth!

God, this has reminded me how much I despise people who whinge about minor things with the mix of a song.
