What songs would you like to see as openers?

So Deftones opened a few shows with something that wasn't Rocket Skates (which is still probably the best opener ever IMO, but it has got just a little overplayed). Not only that but they opened with Kimdracula out of nowhere. Not too long ago they also opened a couple shows with NEEDLES & PINS and one I believe with Cherry Waves.

In light of this, what other songs do you think could make a cool opener? I am thinking Knife Party would make a great opener.

I mean, just imagine them cutting the lights, total darkness, and then hearing those opening three notes.

I would like to see them open with Korea again actually.

I think it depends what kind of set it is. For example, I could see Mascara being a brilliant opener, but only if it's quite a moody, atmospheric set. Hexagram, I think, definitely. I've only ever seen them open with Diamond Eyes and Rocket Skates, so anything other than that would be good, haha.

My Own Summer, Feiticeira, Kimdracula, BQAD, Hexagram and Diamond Eyes.
Never gonna happen but I'd be totally cool with Combat, Poltergeist or The Boys Republic as openers

At the observatory last year I saw them open with Cherry Waves.. Was actually really dope. They kinda lead into it with some cool echoing guitars and was totally unexpected.. Love that song so much.

I think Hexagram is the perfect opener.  Then go into Needles and Pins.  Deftones have some great transitions on their albums....I wish they would capture this live.  Poltergeist into Rosemary would be nice.  Hell, Rosemary into Goon Squad would be good.

Combat would be amazing but I would just like to hear it live period.  Not going to be picky where.

I would actually be more interested in having more variation in closers. Kind of lame how they always seem to close with "heavy" stuff from Adrenaline and ATF. Would rather get something weird and moody like Fist, Pink Maggit, or WHTY? to wind it down. Or even something really odd like Teenager, Anniversary, or Konami Code.

True, that would be preferable. But I still think it would be an amazing song to open with. It'd be amazing anywhere in the setlist, really. It would just be amazing if they played it. But If PM is the closer, then Finger of Death has to be the opener. HAS TO.
