Hey everybody,

I haven't been on here in a million years, so I feel bad for spamming you with a new band, because I generally hate these kind of spam posts... But alas, here I am. I'd like to point out these here guys in Hundred Suns. (<-- haha I made that pretty!)

The band consisting of Cory Brandan of Norma Jean, Ryan Leger of (ex-) Every Time I Die and Chris LeMasters of Dead & Divine and they are trying to fund their first full length album. It is quite likely that Deftones fans will like their music (As a veteran Deftones fan, I can vouch for this statement). Some people might know that Chino actually did some guest vocals on one of Norma Jean's album "The Anti Mother").

Anyways, they are currently trying to crowd-fund their first Album on Indigogo and have about 8 days left to reach their goal. Though I'd drop a line here and see if anybody likes them and would like to help them out. They have already released 2 songs you can check out.

They have Guitar, Drum and Vocal packages on indigogo. So, if you are currently thinking about buying mic, guitars, drums etc, might be worth looking into their campaign. You'd get your gear and be helping the guys fund their first album. Obviously, there are perks for way less monetary input, but anything helps, really!

I'll Leave some links here for easy access:

Here is the Indigogo campaign page (videos and such on there)

Anything helps! $2, $5, $10 (gets you the album after it's done), $[insert # here], all goes to album production and/or future touring!

Here is their first release "Fractional"

Cheers,
Mel :)

PS: I was just googling for a proper pic and even found an article calling them "Deftones-y" lol

Well, the album was released to crowd funders last week, so I have been listening to it for a while and I think it is pretty damned beautiful! The official release is today, and it has been streaming for a few days as well, since they started touring last Saturday (I went to their very first ever 2 shows in Dallas and Austin, and they were awesome!) Reviews that are out have been pretty amazing across the board.

You can find the stream the album here: http://teamrock.com/news/2017-08-08/hundred-suns-stream-new-album-the-prestaliis-in-full

And purchase it here, if you want to: http://smarturl.it/hundredsuns

There is also a quite beautiful video out for the song Amaranthine

Also, they have a few tour dates left on this very first run of theirs. They're good boys, go see them and show them some love. First tour and headlining is a rough gig, so they appreciate every single person that shows up. Possibly buy them a drink after or something, they'd love that too! ;)

This is very disappointing! Meh

Funny, because every review that has come out so far is raving haha!

"[...] Through each and every note throughout this stellar album, you can tell each member took their time in deciding every single detail. The musicianship, as to be expected, is top tier, and the lyricism is meticulous and almost poetic at times. You can sense that each member brought their own influences to the table and melded them to make the perfect sound. With equally softer tones, and hard hitting tracks alike, there is truly something for all. This is no side-project. Hundred Suns is its own entity entirely and The Prestaliis is a phenomenal album which will undoubtedly be a strong contender for album of the year among rock fans of all kinds." - Source
