i made UFC fantasy teams for the next 2 events...Deftones Board, and Deftones Board 2 if anyone is interested in joining.

they also have a fight card official the Ultimate Fight Night 3, but not finished with Couture vs. Liddell 3 yet

Ultimate Fight Night 3:

Tim Sylvia vs. Assuerio Silva
Stephan Bonnar vs. James Irvin
Melvin Guillard vs. Josh Neer
Spencer Fisher vs. Aaron Riley
Drew Fickett vs. Josh Burkman
Chris Leben vs. Jorge Rivera
Alex Karalexis vs. Jason Von Flue
Jonathan Goulet vs. Duane Ludwig

not sure what my picks are yet..might have them done later tonight

DefCubus

They probably wont show the first two fights.. I'm really looking forward to the Von Flue-Karalexis fight and Leben-Rivera.

Franklin vs Loiseau UFC 58!
GSP vs Penn too!

damn those are gonna be good fights. I have to say though that i'll be rooting for The Crow this time around even though I like Ace and of course GSP.

DefCubus

UFC 58 - TBA IN MARCH
- Rich Franklin vs David Loiseau
- Tito Ortiz vs Forrest Griffin
- BJ Penn vs Georges St.Pierre
- Nathan Marquardt vs Jeremy Horn
- David Terrell vs Ivan Salaverry
- Mike Swick vs TBA
- Sam Stout vs TBA

is whats rumored so far

]

CentralIllNoise

wow. that would be a great fight card. Tito vs. Forrest huh? interesting. one of my buddies from school has a brother who is a chyropractor (spelling?) and he does that for Salavery and helps him train, i've gotta root for him even though Terrell is tough

if you guys get time join the fantasy groups i made

DefCubus

RUMORS

UFC 59 IN APRIL

- Matt Hughes vs Karo Parisyan
- Jorge Gurgel vs TBA
- Tito Ortiz vs Forrest Griffin
- Andrei Arlovski vs Frank Mir

glad to see Gurgel getting a shot.

DarkHorse

I think UFC is gonna bring back the lightweights sometime soon, they signed Yves Edwards and Duane Ludwig. Gurgel is a 155 fighter and Florian would be better at lightweight too. I hope they do bring it back so they can give Ivan Menjivar a chance haha.

DefCubus

Yup Yves Edwards signed a 3 fight deal..
Theres a small rumor that Genki Sudo is considering going back to the UFC.

CentralIllNoise

i never was that big of a lightweight fan

i still think ufc should push for a welterweight tourney. it will never be this stacked again, and if all the talented fighters don't get their shot they will start leaving. if hughes is fighting karo next diego should get the winner of penn-gsp. then you've still got trigg, sherk, diaz and riggs hangin around

DefCubus

Trigg is definitely out of the UFC. He's said so on MMA weekly radio. Diego doesnt even come close to deserving GSP.. Diego should fight Joe Stevenson.. that would be a great fight!
I agree, a welterweight tourney would be the shit right now. They probably will start leaving, seeing as how UFC is paying their fighters so poorly and MMA is becoming more popular. They can get bigger purses and more chances elsewhere.

Lightweights are great fights to watch. They hardly gas so the whole fight is fast paced. Also a lot of the great fighters at welterweight are naturally lightweights (BJ Penn, Stevenson, Gurgel etc..) and I'd love to see Jens Pulver, Yves Edwards, Ivan Menjivar fight.

]

CentralIllNoise

yeah..i didn't really think about Trigg too much when i typed his name, i just associate him with ufc. i know he's doing radio right now and annonced the last Pride (and did a great job in my opinion). but to my knowledge he has not signed anywhere else yet and he is too young and talented to quit fighting. if he learns how to defend the rear naked he'll be alright

i think diego does deserve gsp, penn, karo, hewes, sherk, SOMEBODY! since being with ufc he has had 1 worthy opponent, diaz, and won that fight. he breezed through the ultimate fighter competion in the weight class above him, when will he be challenged?

and yeah, the lighweights don't run out of gas and a lot of their fights are high octane, but i guess i am more of a fan of guys more my size fighting, as opposed to 155lbs. penn could dominate all of them again if he chose too. and i know a guy who has fought jens pulver in one of pulvers early fights, so it would be cool to see him get some more ufc fights

DefCubus

Haha teddy and I just chatted with Trigg. He doesnt know if Pride will offer him a contract to fight, but they do want him to stay within the "Family". So who knows.

Diego isnt ready for Penn, Gsp, Hughes. Hes a good fighter, but what makes him look even better, is fighting guys that have little experience. Stevenson would be a great match up, since they both have a lot of experience, and both won TUF. Easily a Ultimate Fight Night headliner.

We'll just have to see how Penn does with the new batch of guys coming in. If he beats GSP, I'll be rooting for Penn against Hughes.

]

CentralIllNoise

let me get this straigt, you're rooting against my fellow illinois country boy?

haha. nah, hewes is almost past his time. he has been an amazing champ, but it is almost time to make way for the new wave
