The giants rushed over an extra yard per carry with him.  I think with a fresh start and with a more established and respectable (Well Eli has earned respect now) qb, Shockey has a great chance to flourish.  plus hes entertaining and fun to watch.  Also remember how well Brees and Gates did together...

but yes i agree. it can be a big pickup if the offensive line does there job this year
