The only rap I have a hard time getting into is the stuff that sounds more like a 'parody' of rap, than something new and inspired. And there's a lot of it. See, I face the same problem in my own writing, imitating styles to the point of being ridiculous. I'm working on becoming more authentic, but I have to read a lot of modern novels to distance myself from classic poetry. I didn't get these habits over night, and they won't go away over night... So, I understand what some of these rappers are going through, who make music that sounds more like 'parodies' of rap than something new and inspired. But I really like a lot of what you guys share. I'm really excited to discover new rap and hip hop, and like a lot of what you guys share.
