aight so i had to read dracula for class and at one point dracula says "rats! rats! rats!" (hes summoning a bunch of rats or something). i figure with chi being an english major and into books, hes had to have read it. think this was the inspiration for the name? i thought it was also kinda interesting that kimdracula was a song name as well.
sorry if this has been asked before
Interesting...
It means guys are out of imagination
maybe thats why rats reminds me of vampires

Interesting...
x2 but, what does rats summoning have to do with the song? :-\
i still think it's a funy name for a song
rats! rats! rats!
the exclamation points make it funny, like "oh no! rats! rats! rats! everywhere!"
too bad the song sucks.

kimdracula was a alias for Chino when he was on drugs

i disagree. love the song.
i see you have the band YES in yer sig. remember the album art they had by Roger Dean? that shit is sweet.
anyhoo i love both songs, but i highly doubt there is a connection between bram stokers Dracula and rats!rats!rats!
and yeah Chi is quite literate, but something tells me that Dracula isnt quite what he'd call 'literature'. hes more into poetry, if im correct.
still, interesting theory..

i wouldn't go as far as to call it an "alias", i think it was more of along the lines of what he said was his screen name?
and "frances farmer will have her revenge on seattle" is an awesome song.
both song freaking rock.
I enoy it when they build themes/references into their albums, so i wouldn't be surprised if this was one of them.
rats!rats!rats! sucks?!
guess not.
Kimdracula: This song so simple yet so ambient. Vocals are amazingly produced. Definitely the second paramount of SNW
And the beginning of Rats (that pulsing riff) reminds me of rats concentrated on top of each other running rampid in an alley way here in Detroit! Always has
For some reason, I can't get into the riff of "Kimdracula". It sounds like an amateur punk band. Almost along the lines of "Root". And the effects on Chino's voice make it sound cheesy.
Now, "Rats!Rats!Rats!" needs some minor changes, and it would be much better. But I still like it.
I always conotate White Pony with Dracula. I had it on loop in the background when reading the book. The swirling sounds on Teenager always remind me of Draculas brides as they dance in the air

It's Frances Farmer not 'the' farmer.
She was not a farmer but an actress.

maybe deftones are the dracula
Rats!Rats!Rats! is literally about Rats. So simple.
Rats x3 gets a lot heat for being on snw but its my favorite one next to rapture
