This movie needs its own thread.

Hands down, the greatest blend of horror and comedy ever to be put on celluoid.

Filled to the brim with gore, nudity, humor...and even a slice of romance.

Greatest blend of horror and comedy? I'm not sure about that, but it's definitely a great movie.

Hell yeah! Think Army of Darkness, Dead Alive, Bad Taste, Slither and Shaun of the Dead are in my top horror comedies but Re-Animator definitely hits the top ten or twenty. How can you beat the Gordon-Paoli combo? Jeffrey Combs (hilarious in The Frighteners)? And it's loosely based on a story by the greatest horror author of all time. Good shit for sure.

i love this movie, had a neighbor for awhile who was into really obscure horror movies and such. this is one of the movies he let me borrow once, i've loved it ever since.

i own all 3 re-animator movies

Braindead not in the same league! Wtf! You can't even compare Re-Animator with Braindead, it's Peter Jackson for fuck's sake. Before he sold out he was a horror comedy movie making genius. Blasphemer!

I am a bit biased being a hardcore horror fanatic. My friend Pete is a lot like you. He watches all movies and we always debate the quality of horror films.

Same here! Except 95% of all movies I watch are horror flicks so I'm a bit one sided.

I never mind butting heads or arguing over movies.TBH I enjoy it as I usually have great fun and learn about movies I would have otherwise never have heard of.

Hence I give Azwethinkweiz the up most respect.
