Post by: ignore the fashion on Mar 29, 2008, 08:24 AM
i'm sure many of you have heard of scars on broadway, i searched for a thread, but didn't see one.

they've finally posted a song on their official site -- http://www.scarsonbroadway.com/

the song is called "they say" and my first reaction, its not bad at all. pretty good if you ask me.

the song is also on their myspace -- http://www.myspace.com/scarsonbroadway

here is a shitty download from their myspace, i used http://file2hd.com/ to download it.

download: Scars on Broadway - They Say.mp3 (http://www.mediafire.com/?bsbxjx2ctzv)

I'm still a bit unsure  :/

Like... System Of A Down are one of my all time favourite bands and I worshipped them for years, but I can't help thinking the song could be better O__o

I dig it, though :]

serj already made system 2, and it sucked fat balls, maybe one or two ok songs... this is just simple ass rock n' roll, with the same writing style as system, but even more simplified... 4 chord/root progressions, short, intro, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, out, etc.   BUT     i recall daron saying he wants to do a straight up Rock n Roll band, like the ones he liked when he was a kid. Either way... its gay... no new soundscapes, no experimentalism, nothing... no thanks....   SOAD's first 3 albums are darons best work.   im not stoked on any of this,  but i still have MAD respect for the guys in SOAD, they had the world by the balls at one point
