Title: Snot Reunite
Post by: Deftonesaddict on Jul 14, 2008, 10:06 PM
The surviving members of the legendary Santa Barbara metal/punk rock hybrid SNOT— which disbanded in 1998 following the death of the group's lead singer, Lynn Strait — have reunited and are planning to hit the road next month. Mikey Doling (guitar), John "Tumor" Fahnestock (bass), Jamie Miller (drums) and Sonny Mayo (guitar) have enlisted former DIVINE HERESY vocalist Tommy Cummings (a.k.a. Tommy Vext) and have already booked two shows, with many more to follow during the coming months.

The first SNOT dates to be announced are as follows:

Aug. 23 - Salt Lake City, UT @ Club Vegas (Dusty's 3rd Annual Plan For Damage Show - 2 Stages Outdoor)
Sep. 12 - West Hollywood, CA @ House of Blues (tentative)

Quite clearly you were no fan of Snot indeed.

Been listening to the Strait Up record again. Cool.

All of these guys have had chances making a career in music after Snot. That's why I'm always think it's suspect when a band reunites after 10 years.
Overall I am undecided in this case. The new singer is not shit, but I don't have high hopes, as I loved Snot.

Snot reuniting is impossible for you see Lynn is dead and it ended right there. But they were on their way to being the greatest bad brains rip offs ever, but sublime 311, no doubt, deftones, soulfly, and every other band from '79 onwards gets that title. YES!
