but how badass would it be if the album started with FYIHYD? And then it just goes into something fast and brutal...and then afterwards went back to FYIHYD. Or if FYIHYD started with just the piano but then it turns into Steph playing the same melody. Sumpthinlikedat.

To me that's not a Deftones song.. just some random shit. It's meanless. And probably the idea is good but with another tune that's not FYIHYD.

I think an opener should set the tone of an album. A piano song wouldn't do the Deftones enough justice.
Man I love FYIHYD. I wouldnt have a problem with that being the first track as long it flowed with the rest of the album.

I love those SNW Bob Ezrin demos that didn't make the "cut". Good stuff to chill to while I blaze the days aways in my garage. Nowadays I listen to them more often then I will listen to any other Deftones albums/songs. As for vocals, well...I really don't think Chino could do justice to most of them, that's probably why he never bothered...notice how badly he attempted Finger Of Death live...? shiiiiet.
