Not surprising though, cd sales are in the crapper for just about everyone except lil wyane and hanna montana.
Around the Fur isn't to far from achieving Platinum status, I believe. And I think SNW has sold around 400,000 units. If it was still like the 90's I am sure all of the Deftones' album would be at least platinum and some multi-platinum.
Good for them though. They deserve it.
i'm proud, cause i've had adrenaline since late 1995. so i been with it pretty much the whole way, it's been chillin in my house, went gold in 99, then slowing but surely kept selling & went platinum. it's pretty awesome it kept selling, most albums(especially with no radio hits) that went gold 9 years ago would never reach platinum, they'd be dead albums. there are so many dead gold albums out there. adrenaline never died. going platinum is huge. fast, or slow & steady it's still platinum. slow & steady is almost more impressive(13 years of constant selling + no radio hits= impressive)
around the fur will go platinum next year sometime
wow, Well deserved!!!
