Title: Pronunciation of Fireal
Post by: Numina on Nov 17, 2009, 08:28 PM
I've never been quite sure of it. I remember when I was a kid I used to pronounce it as "Fear-ee-ul" but trying to figure it out I went through other pronunciations such as Fir-eeal (sounds like "For real" except "for" sounds more like "fir") and even just simple old Fire-al. Even now I'm still unsure. Right now I say Fir-eeal but have any of the band members ever actually said the title, because whatever they call it is what I would call it. And as an addendum, does the name have any discernable meaning?

I always thought it was "fir-real" as in "for real". I never considered that there might be another pronunciation and I've been wrong this whole time.

I miss Chi cracking hilarious and under-appreciated jokes during interviews. :-(
