Honestly, one of the reasons, why I love the Deftones, so much, is because they are one of the most amazing, talented, and brilliant bands of this decade, being led by the great Chino Moreno himself. Chino was very smart in only doing a duet with someone in his league, which would be Maynard James Keenan, even though their styles are different, but 2 of the most respected and brilliant men in the genre today. (don't feel like getting into a big debate about the genre right now that is not the point I am trying to bring across)
Chino, I willl always love you know matter what you do!, I am just saying, please don't disappoint your true fans and ever sell out and do a duet with ANY LAME pop star, your fans would consider wayyyyy beneath you, such as; Justin Timberlake, Fergie, Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Linkin Park, Kesha, Nickie Minaj; I mean I am an " Old skool" Limp Bizkit fan, but I would have to lose a couple points of respect even you did anything with Fred Durst I mean cmon, he isn't even in your league. Please stay unique to your style, and never sell out just to be played on the stupid fucking mainstream radio. I hate pop stars, I hate Hollywood and everything it stands for. I would expect nothing less from you Chino, I know you would never let your fans down, you are one of the most amazing, and brilliant musicians and lyricists of our time. I'm sorry, im genuinely not trying to be rude, but what is the point of this thread?
Do you really think there is even a possibility of Chino collabing with any of those pop stars, or any pop star? I mean, they're just in a seperate hemisphere, it really seems impossible, even if for some bizarre reason i wanted it to happen, how would that even occur, what would be the inception of that. The reality is that most of those artists would most likely never work with Chino, even if he wanted to work with them.
The closest thing to a pop star working with Chino i'd say was Hayley from Paramore doing Passenger live with them, she is basically a pop star, but still in the "rock" category, or Chino doing that duet with Jared and 30 seconds to Mars. BTW i actually think Hayley did a good job (sorry!)

thank you for being nice to me as a true "old Skool" Defhead:) It is very cool that you stuck up for me:) Actually, no hostile feelings here to all the rest of you, actually some of your comments made me laugh so hard I was almost rolling on the floor:) but like Defmkjah said, I am going through what all you old skoolers went through 10 years ago just discovering the band(well 2 years ago about) and listening to every album and every song and being mesmerized by Chino's awesomeness and brilliance with his lyrics. Also just the music there is nothing else like it anywhere and its so original, and real and makes me feel alive to listen to someone who sings about deep, throught provoking themes, and not the typical, i was abused as a child, so feel sorry for me, and I 'm angry bullshit. Not to put down Staind or Korn, I am fans of those bands to, well stainds 1st 3 albums mostly, until they sold out. Just sitting in my car on the way to another grueling day at work listening to the Deftones, somehow makes the day more bearable to get thorugh. Not to mention the grueling commute. The only two artists that even come to close to Chino's lyrical brilliance is Maynard from Tool and maybe Marilyn Manson. I have a huge decal of the Deftones on my back windshield of my car and it looks awesome! Also, much respect for coming on here and being proud to be a father! I am a mom as well!

It is actually good. But I am an old skool Staind fan from the 1st album "Tormented" which is just so heavy, raw and awesome. I have followed Aaron and Staind through the years and I still will always love Aaron and be a Staind fan. It just disappointed me that he crossed over to country as a fan. But it shows how talented he is that he can sing country and rock and still sound good. I met Aaron, and he is the coolest most down to earth guy.
