why they would choose deftones to warm up for kiss is a mystery to me. Deftones and Kiss are a total mismatch.

First of all, nice dp. I totally see your point here about them being a mismatch. Maybe Kiss likes them or wanted a really small band, deftones at the time? Small band wants to get popular and touring with a big name is the way to go. I think it was good for Deftones to be tagged to a really BIG band in the U.S.A. plus it would have opened the door to a whole new crowd of younger people ( if there were any at the concert), so good publicity for them.
Props to Chino for fighting back and staying on. Little did they know, Deftones will actually make it big, around the world....

first concert my pops took me to when I was in 4th grade. random that they open for kiss. so fucking funny. people ahead of us were digging them. ahah and my dad did buy me adrenaline there. he only likes dren and atf though

Actually twice, they opened for RHCP in Argentina in 2001 as well. I was there!
