could the voting time be extended? is really one week enough? considering that preferences are drawing near.

I think 1 week is enough the same as with DE it is out for a few weeks anyway so you have to make up your mind 1 week 1 song at a time it might get harder with time but the first few choices are pretty clear I predict. Finals will be at about 3 months from the album release and this is alright. Better than 3 years after.
Maybe put together the Contests for DE and before to see it's outcome in another thread.

Yeah, just gonna keep voting Tempest until it happens.

So difficult to choose now, but I'm gonna have to say Leathers for this round. Although, yes, I listened to it a lot before the album came out, I still enjoy it, but something about the chorus/bridge kind of bores me a bit. I think it just drags on a little, with the "shed your case and show your lines and shapes" part.

First round I went with What Happened to You, I must say it is my least favorite track from the album so far. At first I wasn't really feeling the opening riff to Romantic Dreams, so that is the one I picked for round 2. Romantic Dreams was again my pick for this round. I can honestly say I don't have any problems what so ever with the rest of the album. My next biggest gripe would be the back cover, it just looks like some cheap bootleg to me.

yeah i'm done voting now.. the rest of the tracks I like quite a bit.

Yeah haha. I really like tempest, entombed, and leathers. I just feel Romantic Dreams srsly is something else.

How about Entombed gets out of here already.  And I have no problem with it.

Man, I think Entombed is amazing. Sad to see that it's going to go. But that's one of the great things about Deftones, always reaching people in different ways, but reaching them just the same.

I see. The Roy never paid a lot of attention to the lyrics, but I love how the verses sound, the chorus is alright. The riff is pretty simple which I think is impressive because it's still an intense sound.

Entombed going now is just absurd. I'm pretty new here, but there must be a big contingent of Deftones fans who just can't accept anything that isn't heavy and guitar-driven. Entombed is basically what songs like Cherry Waves and Beware should've been. Or alternately, it could've been one of the top 3 songs on the Team Sleep record.

you're right in that a lot of fans seem to have a hard time dealing with Deftones going soft. but personally, I love the softer sides of Deftones but I don't think Entombed is a very good song. it has a lot of awesome parts (the 80's synth and Abe's drumming towards the end, for example). but the chorus falls kinda flat and it's too repetetive in my opinion.

It's shame alot of people don't appreciate Entombed it's a really beutiful song ,I love how it builds and falls all the time It will sound like it's going to get bigger but then it just settles back to just Stephen again then Chino come's back in and it starts building all over again until the end where it unfolds,very team sleepish with the repetition and softness

... I hate Goon Squad's lyrics so ya I hope it gets voted off soon. Though it doesnt look like that will happen til it comes to Poltergeist and Rosemary. Sad face

I think it's mostly the lyrical content. When I listen to Entombed I feel like Chino means that shit and it comes from a real place. Swerve is like some mystical hooplah with no real bearing in real life. It's just like "here's some neat mystic shit about some magical bitch with flying horses. Entombed is about love an devotion and I can get behind that.

I think it's fair to say Swerve isn't really an emotionally loaded song that doesn't make it bad it just doesn't have the real sincere emotional feel that song's like "Mascara" have
