I got an email from Deftones yesterday advertising this privatemusic.tv event.
I did not dial into it because of work. Also, I did not want any spoilers of songs on the album. I wanted to wait until Friday to go pick up my physical copy of the album and listen to it all together for the first time (still waiting to do this today after work).
I am just curious about privatemusic.tv though... Is this something that I can dial into later and still experience everything? Or was some of it exclusively available as a live event only?
Thanks!
Seems like it was a one time thing. It was three different streaming channels you could tune into - the first channel was weird clips of random media interspersed with the visualizers for the new album in order, the second channel was footage of the band through the years, some live performances, music videos (some with the band commenting on them MST3000-style lol), etc., and the third channel was videos of bands and musicians that inspired them. At the end of the stream there was a live performance of my mind is a mountain, Dai the Flu, infinite source, Entombed and milk of the madonna.
Thank you for all the details!
Hopefully it will be available later in some way for those of us that missed it.
I had to quite literally sleep on it because it aired during the middle of the night for me, but from what I'm reading, it seemed too high-effort to just be a one-time thing. Maybe there's going to be a DVD or something.
I hope so.
I'm disappointed that I missed it...
Any chance for downloading?
I've got all of them uploaded to mega. Whoever wants them, send me a dm
Playing now again... pm.tv
I finally had a chance to listen to the whole live performance. That is really special.
It is great to have something live from Deftones recorded in this quality.
I wish more artists would release a high quality performance like this with each album rollout.
