Depeche Mode in 8 more days!!
On Thanksgiving eve i went to see: Mudvayne, Sevendust, #10 (or something like that) and Bobaflex
Bobaflex opened, and as always put on a great show. they are very entertaining
the next band i had never heard of...i think they were called #10. they were decent, nothing ground breaking
Sevendust put on a great show. it was my 6th or 7th time seeing them. it was one of their best performances i've seen
then the hometown boys came out. it was my 9th time seeing Mudayne, and i can honestly say they get better each time. i don't remember the exact order of the set list, but the songs they played were: Dig, Internal Primates Forever, -1, Death Blooms, Cradle, Nothing to Gein, Under My Skin (opening song), Silenced, Not Falling, World So Cold, Determined, Pushing Through, Happy?, Rain.Sun.Gone, Forget to Remember. the perfromance was great, and i loved it that they mostly played stuff from LD50
my friend bought me a ticket to dandy warhols, i dont really know much of them, but i'll go.

Went to see Green Lizard again on this festival someplace.
There was a change I might end up on some guestlist, so I went without ticket. Loads of things went wrong plus the tickets were sold out. Luckily, when I sat down to wait for Nicktone who'd arrange something, I sat down right next to a festivalstring (you know, the ones around your wrist..dunno what to call em) and with a little tape I was in.
Green Lizard rocked the house, off course.

not flying, I also planned to go by train, but the problem is.. my passport expired. so I didn't go..:(
That sucks! Where are you from? We could have gone together haha. But Jakob are the support band so they'll prob have half hour set max but it would have been so worth it...
I'm from Croatia, so Brescia gig would've been closer(and cheaper) to me than Vienna one.
Yeah, I know Jakob is the support band, but still. I love ISIS as well, but Jakob were the main reason I wanted to go... I already saw ISIS live and I wasn't too impressed.

Haha I know what you mean cos my next couple months looks something like this:
My friend's band A Killers Fear - 9th October
Skindred & Forever Never - 31st October *maybe*
Profane + Day For Airstrikes & TK-421 - 1st November
For The Fallen Dreams - 3rd November
August Burns Red - 4th November
Annotations Of An Autopsy & Ingested - 10th November
Never Say Die Tour [Parkway Drive,
UNEARTH!, Despised Icon, Architects, Protest The Hero, Whitechapel & Carnifex] - 11th November
Forever Never - 13th November
Opeth + The Ocean & Cynic - 23rd November
Plus Textures are supposed to be touring here in December.
November is looking pretty sweet for me so far ;D
August Burns Red and Annotations.... are real fun live
but that Never Say Die Tour looks unbelievable. youre fuckin lucky. I wanna see Whitechapel
Yea, ABR played main support for Misery Signals in April and I saw Annotations twice on TAS's tour and they're both pretty awesome bands live. My friend played bass with Annotations on the Euro dates of the tour actually cos their bassist had passport issues :]
Never really listened to Whitechapel but my ex is really into em so I'm looking forward to seeing them. I'm mainly going for Unearth though, and DI and Architects.
damn your opeth show is better. I'd much rather see cynic and the ocean than high on fire and baroness. actually, ive never heard baroness now that i think about it.
Haha, I've just been listening to The Ocean and Cynic for the first time and I'm damn excited ;D
Baroness are pretty sweet, they remind me of a cross between like... Clutch and Mastodon.
Baroness is pretty solid, saw them with Converge and Red Chord. They sound similar to Torche, if you've ever heard them...that good stoner metal sound.
hahah yeah Clutch too
yeah the new cynic disc is great.

- Matisyahu, Flobots Oct 18th
- Scars on Broadway Nov 2nd
I'd love to see TBDM live, they're pretty sweet. I don't mind BTBAM also but I saw them when they played main support for The Dillinger Escape Plan in February and they played for 30 minutes straight, then had 2 minutes rest then played for another 15 minutes :/ I'm all for long songs y'know but I have a really short attention span and cos I'd never heard their stuff before I was getting a bit fidgety haha.
They're tight as hell though, and I have one of their lead guitarist's picks on my wall :]
Metallica with Machine Head !!!!!!! :D
Last minute change for Lamb of God, this is going to be probably the best show of the year.
Friend of a friend's band is playing a show tomorrow at the local metal club. He's a good vocalist, but the rest of the band aren't too great, but I'm going anyway :P
I don't know... but I sure as fuck hope the next is either Deftones or Blue October!!!

You don't enjoy Red Sparowes/Young Widows?
Haven't heard enough by them to really comment.
I definitely think you'd like both. Red Sparowes was formed by Bryant Clifford Meyer (Isis keyboardist) and Jeff Caxide (Isis bassist, but he's not in it anymore) if you didn't know, and Young Widows sounds a lot like These Arms Are Snakes...well, kind of.

I dunno, i tend to prefer records with some good songs over records with no good songs, but that's just me.
Light Grenades is one of the worst album you've heard? Hyperbole much?
While it's a pretty weak album, it still has solid songs like Quicksand/A Kiss to Send Us Off, Anna Molly, Title track, Rogues and Pendulous Threads.
If Not Know, When is just bland and boring from beginning to end (with the exception of In the Company of Wolves).

fukk yea. Nice
Just got back from Roskilde Festival.
Yesterday I saw Bruce Springsteen for the first time ever. I knew it would be a great show, but he still managed to exceed ALL my expectations. Bar none, the greatest show I've ever been to. Simply magic.
He is the motherfuckin' BOSS.
Other bands I saw was:
BARONESS! - second favorite show at the festival. John and Pete were so fucking happy...smiling and jumping around on stage like crazy. Flawless musicianship. Can't wait to see them again in August.
Red Fang
The Cure (also pretty amazing. played for 3 hours)
Hank III (fucking awesome)
The Shins
Jack White
The Roots
Not a single dud. All the performances I saw were worthwhile.
caught Pearl Jam last night. a 3 hour set, amazing setlist, amazing energy from the band and an amazing audience. everything was amazing. never had so many chills during a live show before.

So gutted that I didn't get a ticket for the show in Copenhagen.
In the last month have been to Download Festival, Pearl Jam (twice), Chris Cornell (twice) and Garbage.
Have Soundgarden next weekend. And then gigs by Pure Love (ex-Gallows), Eddie Vedder, Head Automatica, Refused and Bush in the next 6 weeks.

Stoked to see them in a venue as small as the Observatory.
Mastodon and Clutch on May 16th!
I wish Deftones would come to my area again.
King Of Convenience :)
La Dispute, next month.
Weird al Yankovic in Amsterdam. ;D Too bad his gig is on the same date as Gabriel Rios'. Oh well... ::) Then I'll be following Deftones on their Euro tour. I'm so excited, haha, as usual. ;)
Deftones47, may I ask where you are from? How far are you guys willing to travel to see Deftones? I'm sorry if this is all too offtopic, but I'm just curious. I myself am fine with anything that's doable by train within 10 hours approximately.
KEN Mode on wednesday.

KEN Mode on wednesday.
Man, I'm so jealous! I'd love to go to their show in Hamburg on Thursday, but I can't afford the trip, unfortunately. Super pumped for their new album, by the way. I preordered the clear vinyl, which is limited to 100 units worldwide.
Report back when you've been there. I've heard they put on some really intense shows
The grateful dead the last 2 days of the year at the forum in LA
Then Tool in San Diego. Will be my first tool show . Can't wait!

not gonna lie, when I saw them it felt way too theatrical and teen angsty, mostly their frontman/guitarist. they also had tech difficulties and just stopped right in the middle of a song as the guitarist threw a fit. wasnt the best day for him i spose
good musics though
BEHEMOTH in january along with Abbath, Entombed and Inquisition.
Behemoth will play 'The Satanist' from start to finish. Can't fucking wait.
BATTLES in March ;D Can anyone tell me what the O2 Academy in Liverpool is like, looks quite a small venue from pictures?
LOOK AT THIS MAGNIFICENT LINEUP! HOLY FUCKING SHIT.

You have my permission to be jealous.
Possibly Chon at the end of March. The Contortionist in April regardless.
Really wish I could go to the Sumerian Records 10th anniversary concert but plans happened.
Seeing Glassjaw in a few days. It's been a while since I've been to a concert and I've wanted to see them live for about a decade, so I'm pretty stoked about it.

I was going to see Glassjaw when they were in the UK with Coheed and Cambria but I wasn't well, I was devastated, been wanting to see them for ages. Hope you enjoy it!
Seeing letlive. in April, can't wait, they're one of my favourite bands, and it's been quite a while since they were last here.
Deftones and mother fuckin Snoop DOGG!!
Should be fun.

I still have yet to listen to letlive. I've heard good things, but I just haven't done it yet. I'm going to Glassjaw's show with my gf, my bestie, and his gf as well. I've seen the Deftones a couple times already, as well as Crosses, but have yet to see Glassjaw live. They're #1 on my list of bands to see, so I'm pretty stoked.

A lot of people say they're a wannabe-Glassjaw band, some people think they're heavily influenced by them, etc. It just depends. They're definitely influenced by them, but those influences have gotten less obvious since their latest album, more a mix of genres and everything.
Yeah, as far as bands I haven't seen yet, Glassjaw is the top of my list. And La Dispute, I love that band, have you heard of them? I've missed out on seeing them like four times now.

So I saw Chon and they put on an amazing show! I'm seeing the Contortionist one week from now.
After that, seeing that tour with Dying Fetus, The Acacia Strain, and some other bands I don't remember at the moment, and then in May, my friend is inviting me to see Thy Art Is Murder with him.
Tuska Metal Festival in Helsinki this July, with Gojira and Katatonia among others.
Ghost/Iron Maiden, june 21.
and then Copenhell (Dropkick Murphys, Norma Jean, Alice Cooper, Converge, With the Dead, Abbath, Amon Amarth, Entombed, Kadavar, Redwood Hill, King Diamond, Tribulation, Decapitated, Dark Funeral, BLACK SABBATH, Havok, etc...)
Traveling with my dad to Iceland and one thing we'll do there is see Eistnaflug! I'm pretty hyped!
Going to see The Black Queen tonight (Greg's, from Dillinger Escape Plan, synth pop project).
Pretty excited about it!
The Dillinger Escape Plan,Oct 30th on their farewell tour.
MESHUGGAH / HIGH ON FIRE next friday.
STOKED!
Damn, quite a combo.
I secured Radiohead tickets for one of the Shows in Oslo next summer. They sold out in a few minutes, so i'm happy with that. Definitely a bucket list type of band for me.
High on Fire was perfect, as expected. I shook Matt Pike's hand afterwards. Bucket list goals! :D
Meshuggah was so boring that we left after 4 songs. Just too mechanical and robotic. I know that's the point, but after High on Fire's organic and HUMAN performance, I just couldn't get into Meshuggah's clinical and emotionless tech show. As my friend said "they're like the metal answer to techno"...
Seeing Brian Fallon (The Gaslight Anthem) tonight. Should be good.
seems like your calendar is packed. at least this one weekend.
Yup! I wasn't supposed to go to the Brian Fallon show, but my friend had extra tickets.. and who says no to a free concert? :D
idiots
Pallbearer last saturday was unbelieveable.
Unearthly Trance and Suma tonight!
King Dude next tuesday.
Deftones in Munich. I'll be leaving tomorrow morning first thing. ;D I'm super excited, but it's also a bit weird, because I'll be seeing them seven times on this tour. :o Fingers crossed I'll get to meet them again! <3
The underachievers!
Deftones!
Deftones in Manchester :)
Deftones in Dallas/Austin/Houston, one of those!
Not entirely sure... But the last show I went to was Gogol Bordello and it was a fantastic experience, aside from being crunched up next to a bunch of other sweaty people ... But what can ya do, lol
I'm hoping I can see Deftones/Rise Against/Thrice in Philly, but it'll be difficult.... Funny thing is , Gorillaz is playing in the same exact venue the month after, and so is Primus/Clutch.... I love how all these bands I love are playing at a place I'd have to drive 2+ hours to go and see, lmao. Could be much worse, though.
Animals as Leaders on the 24th, and Maryland Deathfest right after that.
I won these tickets to Life Of Agony at the Sherman , so yeah, probably that ;D
Coheed and Cambria in London on the 19th of June :D
Last show I've been to was Metallica + Iggy Pop (March 1st) and few weeks later, a local Rammstein tribute band...
Looking forward to go to Las Vegas or New York for a Cult of Luna show. Fingers crossed.
There's a small chance to go and see Foo Fighters, Green Day, PJ Harvey at Corona Capital.
Also, waiting for the line up of Hell & Heaven Metal Fest and/or Knotfest Mexico 2017 and see if it's worth it.
Queen + Adam Lambert in November. Funny story, my mum somehow convinced herself I'd secretly bought her tickets to see them last time they were here (few years ago) for her birthday, but I didn't. So she was really disappointed and ever since, I swear every single advert on TV has had a Queen song in it, to never let me rest in peace. So I buy the tickets for this show, and now I've heard a lot less random Queen songs popping up. Finally my soul can rest.
Tool tonight!!😎

Fuck you!
By the time they decide to bother coming over to the UK again, Maynard probably won't have a voice left.
Queens of the Stone Age on tuesday.
And an amazing tripple treat next wednesday; Russian Circles / Red Fang / Mastodon w/ Scott Kelly performing all 6 songs he has collaborated with Mastodon on. Fuck. Yes.
Can't go wrong there. I regret not getting a ticket for the show in Oslo. Would love to see aqua dementia with Scott, especially.
