Welcome you have come to a place where Norma Jean/The Chariot/Luti-Kriss fans gather and get to talk about these fucking great bands.
Ok I love Norma Jean/The Chariot/Luti-Kriss and i realised that Josh Scogin the original NJ vocalist is great his 1st band Luti-Kriss which became Norma Jean with slighly diffrent members then bey bey to NJ and now The Chariot.
I dont think many peolple are familiar with Luti-Kriss, they sound similar to NJ maybe not ass mathmatical NJ do but still fucking great album. I have uploaded album for you fans, get it here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NGY5HWY6
The is a lot i would like to talk with other fans about for example Norma Jean. You may begin the dicussion and dont forget to give feedback on Luti-Kriss album.
Luti-kris is nothing compared to Norma Jean. I've had that album for years now, and i can't listen to it. The same with the 5 EP. It just bores me rather quick.
Luti kriss was alright for nu-metal. the album wasn't all that great but it wasn't terrible either.
i can still listen to Bless The Martyr... in moderation but i've grown extremly bored with O' God...
the latest Chariot ep was pretty tight though.
Alright:
Luti-kriss = Boring Nu-metal
Btmktc = Great
OGTA = Botch Rip off
And yeah, the new Chariot EP is quite good, but doesn't really bring anything new to the genre. There are loads of better bands. But, Josh is still a damn amazing vocalist.
i think luti LP album rocks i like it very much.
Damn right here Paint Your Lips:
Btmktc = Great
OGTA = Botch Rip off
i dont get how fucking stupid u can be to rip of botch and in interview vocalist said that they didnt mean to sound like botch, its just at the end of process vocalist said OH god this sound like botch and others were like WHO?
whats the fuck is that about?
botch>nj
a botch reunion would be off the chain.
norma jean is not worthy of their own thread..
we should have a Botch thread instead
botch are fucking great! but NJ is worth of its own thread.
any expert on who is the 2nd singer was?
Kisseveryscar and Died20times said it: "Botch > Norma Jean"
And i wish i had known Botch earlier, i can't believe they have slipped under my nose so long.
Vadimo, you should check out Coalsesce, their album "0.12 Revolution in just listening" is killer stuff.
Coalsesce - "0.12 Revolution in just listening" is a fucking great album i got few more and split EP with Boysetsfire, lol But their 3 tracks on that sound so diffrent from other stuff.
i still want to know where this NJ 2nd vocalist came from?
If you mean Cory (O God, the Aftermath) then his old band was Eso-Charis, also a Solid State band.
If not, then i don't know who you mean, man?

Oh were they good?
No i mean the vocalist that was in NJ for 2002-03, the shit one? (NJ had 3 vocalists and cory is current)
yeah, they had three:
1. Josh
2. Brad (yuck! He totally killed the music !)
3. Cory
I don't know what Brad was in before, but by Jebus he was bad ...

yeap he was bad! I dont get why they recruited him, im sure they could of find someone better, i wonder how they kicked him out lol
btw: more ppl join this thread come on!
jdasjcd87cvx (http://www.myspace.com/deadguylives) ::)
I like all the bands mentioned really.
Luti-Kriss did'nt really hold any lasting appeal but it was obviously a bunch of kids having a go and in that respect I don't mind it.Norma Jean are great but I do find they lack in lasting appeal for me personally although the rawness of the BTMKTC recordings is great.
O God, the Aftermath never really grabbed me the same way although I like a couple of tracks and I have yet to hear The Chariot EP.

can u or somebody upload deadguy album/s?
I love 1st NJ album, i dont understand why ppl say it doesnt last long, i been listening it for past 4 month now, its brilliant!
Paint Your Lips: the cahriot i think stand out a lot in hardcore genre now-days, i mean their so much rip off and the chariot kinda on its own.
fireflyry: do get EP or album, both are fucking great!
Vadimo, i don't agree with you about The Chariot. But, we're all different. Thank Jebus
I still wanna smash the face in on the person who stole my BTMKTC cd !
i wanna go back to past 2003 meet the 2nd NJ vocalist and tell him to get non singing job!
btw: I red that NJ plaid just instrumental show in 2003 someone filmed it. I think thats so cool, i would love to see that, what u think?
Yeah, Brad was horrid. I saw a bunch of live vids with him, and he couldn't scream proberly. It was more like "Yia Yia Yiaa!". He sounded like a bad japanese karate movie !
i saw a recording of theirs on one of the hellfest dvd's with brad. he was fucking AWFUL.
i dunno he cant hold on for much screaming or even singing, his voice cats out so quick and mambels most of words.
THIS VIDEO FUCKING ROCKS! NJ - I used to hate cellphones but.......

"I used to hate cellphones but..." is a fucking great song. Thanks, Vadimo. Got more?

1st track is the best!
The next norma jean album should be hilarious, with all the singing that's going to be on it.

I have no expectations to that album whatsoever. SHaunLuu is awful. And they said that song is pretty much the vain of the new album. Well ... Atleast BTMKTC was great.
Sucks. But, atleast we got Botch and a million other great bands.
Wait, what the hell is this:
From norma jean's myspace
Quote- we decided that when a record leaks online... that it sucks. so if you were one of the many that got that record by "you know who"... you should go buy it when it comes out... its only fair, no harm done... also you should know, what you got was NOT finished.
!!!
yes more money for NJ, i say fuck you, your "o god aftermath" record sucks!
i doubt new record will be much diffrent from 2nd unless they get new members, do u know who staid in new NJ? i know the drummer for sure.
The only ones who left were Josh (vocals) and Doolittle (bas).
Norma Jean's 1st cd, the Chariot is simply chaos. The last Norma Jean is shite Rock like how ETID turned from Metalcore to Hard Rock. I don't care what Norma Jean does anymore unless they destroy some more.
PS: thanks vadimo for that EP.
ETID's 1st EP and last night in town were heaviest stuff and i love hot damn and their new record actually ROCKs, love it too, not sure of them ever been metalcore and its not really a hardcore i dunno something underfind lol!
"the Chariot is simply chaos" it is a fucking brutal, epic chaos but do u like it?

ETID's ep and Last Night i consider "metalcore" IMO. That's what I liked from them. But that's it.
"the Chariot" >> Actually, I've been so busy moving and cleaning from my old place to my new one, I haven't had time to listen or do much other than download here and there. I'll get back to you on that.
I just found out that Norma Jean and Scarlet members have a group called "Spitfire"
Anyone have anything of theirs? I think there's an ep or album. Not sure though.
They are on myspace. I don't know what to think of them.
theu suck.
and by theu, i mean they.
yeah Spitfire didnt sound that great!
Thanks Vadimo for The Chariot Ep. It's pretty good. I've upped that Spitfire-Self Help

how did u extract it? i just dont have time to work out myself, thx
i just googled ".sit" and got some trial program to open it. I'll upload tomorrow in a .rar if you'd like.
search download.com for .sit and you find the program called stuff it.
Wait, don't waste time getting that program, awoid this album !
dont think i can be bothered with donwloading this shit program, i'll pass thanks bumbled73 for sharing anyway.
bump.
I actually enjoy "O' God the Aftermath" alot more than "BTMKTC".
So i'm looking forward to the new NJ album.
Both albums are great though.
"O' God" is nowhere near "Bless the Martyr ...". I mean, there's so much diversity and debth in BTMKTC. And being the album which contains "Pretty Soon, I Don't Know What, But Something Is Going To Happen" it has very little chance of being beaten. That song is fucking amazing. Well, and then there's obviously "I used to hate cellphones..." and "The human face, divine "!!!
O' God, is basically a poor man's version of Botch. I liked the album when i first got it. But, that was before i knew Botch.
The new song, ShaunLuu is horrible in every way. Especially the chorus like "we're nothing" line. I will def. hear the new album. But, i really think it's gonna blow.

download burn piano island burn (or relationship of command for that matter), and realize how awesome the new NJ will be.

Ross Robinson is not a quallity stamp, man. But, he does have a great list of albums under his name. But, if you hear ShaunLuu, then you can only be scared.
P.s burn Piano Island, burn is killer, hehe ! :)
But Ross didn't produce SHaunLuu

I didn't say that. I just said the song was horrible. And not even Ross can help that song.
He can help the band though.

We'll see, man.
I just think that, with ShaunLuu, (which they said is pretty much the direction in which they are going on this record), it doesn't show a bright future for Norma Jean.
You know what i mean?
it could go either way.
ross has done some tight pieces, but on the other hand, he's done a lot of garbage too.
Is The Chariot - Everything Is Alive, Everything Is Breathing Nothing Is Dead and Nothing Is Bleeding any good?
I've only heard Unsung EP and i fucking love that.

wow! even Vex Red album.
Amen fucking own all punk bands in chaos.
I just was listening to Norma Jean - Redeemer new album leak. Well i like it, anyone can comment on it?
I like it.
It's a good album.
i might change my mind of not ever seen them live hah.
Sounds like they have more than one vocalist now, like other dude is backing up but i dunno i only listened to few songs.
?
Redeemer is a disgrace to the name Norma Jean.
I might actually like this in that case.

Not just that. But, also that they toned down the technical rythms so that the idiotic pre-puberty snotface has a chance to enjoy and spend money on this boring piece of wannabe mainstream money cock sucking waste of time ...
It just sounds bad. Instruments and everything. They traded talent for money
the record isnt originall and amazing but its sure bettre than the last.

The Chariot - Vin Affleck(Goodnight My Lady, and A Forever Farewell)
off the Unsung EP
one of my favorite songs ever. the random mandolin or banjo plucking in the middle of the song is incredible. then the guitar melody for about the last 55 seconds of the song just kills. simple, but for some reason one of my fave parts of any song
