it's a device that scrobbles the music you listen to. and it gives you band/artist recommendations based on your musical taste. pretty smart actually.

it stores the music you listen to on your computer.
you create a profile, download a plugin for your musicplayer (windows media players, itunes, etc) and when you play music it get stored on your last.fm profile.
thats one of the reasons i never signed up. i didnt want my NKOTB fetish to go public :D

anyone else experiencing problems with their profile at the moment. Over night i've gone from some 40 000 plays, to 9000, and i can't see any of my stats.
your playcount is still 40000 when i look at it 0.0 it fix itself?
