Looking good, i hope some of my mates will buy this. It looks super awesome, infact the game that looks like most fun is Wii sports. I've got enough with my 360 at the moment though.

So, should I pre-order this? Can I actually still pre-order it, or is it 'too late'? And does it matter who I pre-order it from?
Its too late to pre-order, probably. You can only pre-order at some specific nerdy places, all big shops dont have a clue how many consoles they are getting so if you pre order now, you might not get one at launch and are stuck waiting for it.
Your best bet? Waiting outside a store in a line all night before the launch, or going to a shady shop in a small town that will probably get one or two consoles, but no one in the small town will care for them anyway.
I'm doing the latter thing. See, the day before the Wii launch here in Europe, me and my gf have our five year anniversary. I wouldnt swap a romantic diner with her for standing in line for a Wii all night, although that is pretty fun to do as well.
I'll get my Wii. I hope.... please...

Its a Samsung 32 Inch (which is best for if you have just a bedroom or something, because any larger LCD from too close will look bad), and ehh it was about 1300 euros when I bought it last year, should be around 1000 euros now.

Anyway, judge all you want, myself, my girlfriend and friends, hell, even my PARENTS, are having a blast with this. Man, the presentation is so slick, you really don't mind the GameCube-ish graphics.

Well, now I only have to buy Viva Pinata and Gears of War in two weeks so I have an awesome holiday.
I'll just play Zelda on the GameCube.

Well i spose, But it's just like when i got my N64 and GameCube i got bored of both just as easily and they had nothing to offer me other than proper Zelda and Mario games, I just don't see why buying a Wii is neccessary for those if they're going to be on a £50 GameCube.

Listen, I dont know but I always get bored with just ONE console. If it was JUST 360, I would get bored. If it was JUST Wii, I would get bored. Thats why I have both now :)
But Wii has already made me happier than the Cube could ever do. Twilight Princess is the best Zelda ever, Wii Sports is truly fun, and for EVERYONE.

I declare the Wii as THE must have console. Damnit Im having fun with it. Zelda is just so long and good, Wii Sports is the best sports game ever apart from Pro Evo and Wario Ware is funny as hell. Three must have games in 1,5 months.

Just make sure to own Wii Sports (comes with the system so yea), Zelda and Wario Ware, the best games available right now. Red Steel is the shooter to own if you're in to that, but reactions on that game have been mixed.

GOD you have a big adventure coming up ahead. This game is just gigantic. Just a tip although I probably dont have to tell you this: in between dungeouns, take your time to explore the landscape. You'll find tons of secrets. Don't rush through the game, treasure it.
OH! How exciting! ONe more week and I will have my Wii!!!! I cant wait.

yeah from everything ive read so far this game is the best zelda yet, ive been kicking myself ever since i got my wii because i didnt have this game, it was one of my main reasons for wanting a wii at launch time

wii sports is awesome. a blast to play with lots of people
golf is probably my favorite on there. Bowling would be(2nd fav), but it's too easy to get a 300. still really fun though

Want them to bring out a realistic golf sim for the Wii. I know Tiger Woods is coming out, but from previews I've read, some aspects of it seem slightly broken.
Hm yeah we'll wait and see if Tiger will be a good game, if not its just a matter of time. I find Wii Sports golf pretty good though. Not realistic but it does represent the fun part of the sport very well.
It's true that everything is owning the PS3 right now, you're right You Fail Me. Both PS3 and 360 will be worth owning in the end though, each console has great games.
But I really think this generation Wii will have the most great games on offer. Nintendo hasnt had that since the SNES imo.
