Don't smoke Marbs, the filter is synthetic and is not biodegradable like the cotton filters from a Camel.

Nawwww. It's the same as when people say not to smoke that little overlapping bit on Marlboro lights 'cause it has fiberglass in it. Bullshit really.

Although most cigs probably make your lungs bleed. For the price I'd hope so.. £5.20 for a pack of Bensons I pay now. I'm coming up to 20 a day too so that's a shitload of money I'll save when I quit.

I know, I can't believe how much a pack of Marlboro's cost now, it's like £5.60 - £5.70. I never smoke over the overlapping bit, but it does make me wonder when I light one up and I can smell weed.

As we all love to do. I went round my friends after work this morning and smoked some resin called Gold Leaf. It's stamped with a gold leaf emblem and so soft you just mould it and lay it in your jigga. We'll it K.O'd me and after sleeping and stuff I can still feel it. I gotta get ready to go to work again now.

Nice, A friend of mine got some stuff, it kinda sounds like what you had but it was really crumbly like hash but you didn't need to burn it and it just blew us away. The weed I have been getting recently has been quite nice and smooth much better compared to the sandy shit we had.

Actually light cigarettes is just an illusion.
you think you are smoking a cigarette with less nicotine, but there a lot of chemical shit inside to make the light one "looks" soft, everything that you smoke makes shit on your lungs, and I cant feel any flavour smoking cigs with white filters.

'Light' cigarettes contain less tar which takes the edge off lol

I smoke Marlboro Lights because their not as strong as normal cigarettes and stronger than normal 'Lights' or 'Mild' cigarettes. And also because I'm a bit of a chav.

Ahaha

I went through all kinds of stages before I fell in Love with my boys Benson and Hedges.

At school it was fucking Red Band, Sovereign, Superkings, Mayfair.. Cheap ones. I did like Superkings though.. I could chain those fuckers. Oh, Richmond too 'cause they tasted like toast.

I did the Marlboro Lights stage 'cause they're like the ultimate clubbing fag.. Not too soft but not too strong either if you're chaining them.

B&H just used to be like a special treat though, man. This was back when they were Special Filter. Once I started working and being able to properly fund my habit it was them all the way.

If I go into a shop and they don't have them (which is weird 'cause everyone likes them but I never see people smoking them) then I grab either Lambert and Butler or Lucky Strike if they do 'em.

EDIT: The problem with smoking Bensons though is people steal them. Some cunt at work keeps going through my pockets or my bag and nicking my fags. If I've bought 40 or something on the way to work and some prick puts his dirty thieving gypsy mits all over 'em it's proper gay. I got no idea who it is either but I'm gonna buy some like spy camera or some shit and catch the fucker.

I don't quite get it.  Do you guys enjoy smoking?  Would you give up if you could?  My Dad smoked for 40 odd years with a pipe, and gave up about 13 years ago, my Mother smoked for around 40 years too, and gave up just over a year ago.

If you have a dog, what you should do is put some of your dog's turd inside a fag packet, and when someone goes to steal your fags, they'll get dog shit all over their hand.

It'll be the last time anyone steals your fags, I promise you.

I love to smoke. I often feel I've passed the line where cigs where still tasting good and gave me a headrush. now they have a bittersweet taste to so speak, and often I feel like I smoke just because I have to. I've considered stopping, but I just wouldn't know what to do without that first cig in the morning, the one after every meal, the one that goes with every cup of coffee and every beer etc... it's a lifestyle! one that will kill you, too.

I smoke Marlboro's.

I enjoy smoking. A smoke with your cuppa in the morning, after a meal, waiting for a bus - ahhh good times. I am planning in quitting but I have been saying that for the last 7 years. I can go all day with out one but as soon as I'm at home bored I need a smoke. I did quit smoking cigarettes for a while and just had a joint when I came home but it didn't last long before my dirty little habit crept back.

there is no way I could do my job if I smoked.  A LOT of guys do.  But I personally could never pull it off.  But I have dipped on and off depending on what kind of command I am at.  Generally a training command will be both extremely boring and extremely stressful all at once.  So I kind of tend to try to do something to occupy my time and maybe give me a buzz in the process.  But I don't all addicted and shit.  I just drop it as soon as I get to a command I like and that keeps me busy.  But I can see me starting again on this deployment.

Well since "livid" really isn't an everyday word and my native language isn't english I had to look it up. And it's funny, because I knew you of all people would hold it against me, that's kind of the reason I said that I had to look it up. yeah dude, when i'm drunk my cig intake increases drastically.  it always sucks in the morning because then my throat's all raw cuz of the smokes and being dehydrated.  seems worth it when you're hammered though.

Did not smoke AT ALL for a month, then getting high and drunk came back = back to the cigarettes on parties. My friends are real enablers. Still, I quit smoking DAILY which was the point tbh..

I'm like that right now. I don't go to parties too often, so luckily it hasn't motivated me to buy my own pack. If I do, I know I'm fucked to smoke every day. I just like having a cigarette in one hand, and a beer in the other. It's very relaxing.

i tried chewing my freshman year in the dorms, mainly due to peer pressure since a bunch of us would sit and eat sunflower seeds and chew while playing Madden or NBA 2K. Anyway, I almost threw up, and then I realized I was basically chewing cancer. Good times.

I dipped for a while.  On and off (more on than off though ) for about 4 years.  It's very popular in the military.  I would usually quit due to a lack of interest once I was in the real world.  But if I was in the field or deployed or in a high stress school, I would always start up again.  I enjoyed it ( and my short smoking stint ) but quit due to good logic.  And looking back, its really stupid to use tobacco.  But I definitely enjoyed dipping while I did it.

I've been smoking on and off for 7 years. Everytime I stop I'm fine until a few months later when I suddenly keep having random dreams about not being able to have cigs. The first few days don't even really bother me like it does other people. Honestly...I  think I just need the will power.

I've started to quit (again) today, hopefully I'll stick to it this time 'round. Smokes are too expensive in Australia.

I think the key to quiting is to genuinely want to quit.  I have seen a lot of people who loved smoking, but said they wanted to quit for money or health or their first baby or whatever.  But they didn't REALLY want to quit; they just knew they should.  So eventually they all went back to smoking.  A lot of them wasted a lot of tax payers dollars with their free Chantix too.
So somehow you just have to convince yourself that there is nothing good about smoking anymore and that you really really do want to quit.  I'm not saying you can't quit any other way.  I just think it's a lot easier to have the will power if you have the right approach mentally.

Agreed on the part with the right approach, but at least quitting for health reasons is a pretty good argument, other than quitting because it's too expensive.

What if you earn enough money so you can smoke a box each day? Would you do it then?
You could also cut down smoking to a few cigarettes every day ( and I'm not working for Philip Morris, but if money is the main reason for you to quit, it might not work out anyways )

I quit because of my health. I am still coughing up stuff, but it's a process of cleaning. I am very happy with me not smoking, cause:
a) my lungs feel better and I breathe more easily;
b) I stopped having stomach problems and aches;
c) I save lots of money;
d) I lost that horrible smell around me I used to have and my fingers do not smell like shit anymore;
e) I found more productive ways of filling the time-spaces that used to be smoking.

Your lungs feel so much better after you've quit hey. I hate waking up and my lungs feeling heavy, I guess that's the best way to describe how I felt after a night out.

I'm also quitting because I'm taking up vocals again, and lets face it, cigarettes do affect your voice... Just look at Corey Taylor, he can barely scream anymore.

But now i'm clean, and i don't feel a need for a cig anymore. It was amazing when my sense of smell returned. It was fully mind blowing. i didn't know smokers smell so bad.  And now kissing a smoker girl..?! Fuck that. I actually tried to, but i just had to stop. It was just disgusting..

the truth is i've been smoking for a long time, since i was 17 actually...I'm 25 now, and i have never had the problem of not being able to quit, i mean, i could smoke a pack a day for a week just for the fuck of it...then nothing for 2 weeks and i would be fine...
i know a lot of guys who struggle with quitting...and they've never done it...i guess I'm blessed and i can't develop an addiction...really, nothing...say coke, tobacco, alcohol...weed...chocolate...bagels...

either i'm blessed or i'm fucked...

Good times...

People always moan about second hand smoke, I wonder how much damage is caused to the lungs by living in built up, smog filled cities. In the UK people bang on about how much it costs the NHS in treating smoking related illnesses but they don't tell everyone that the money that is given to the NHS from the government comes from the high tax prices on cigarettes and tobacco.
