so i wanted to start a thread for local bands. if you know of any local (unsigned) bands or are in a local band post your shit here.

ill post some cowtown local soon. the music scene where i am, while i wouldnt call it shitty, is less than what u would expect for a town with the largest public university in the world. In the mid 90's Spin called columbus the next seattle. i laughed as much now as i did then

it's all about hardcore and metal around here. I'm not much for that at all. So i only check out a few a year.

the only other local music i've heard from nyc in recent years has been recycled garbage that doesn't move me at all and a couple good jazz bands whose names all escape me.  i guess that's what happens when you don't have any fucking words in your songs.  FOR-GET-ABLE!

I'm in Burden, check sig. new songs should be up shortly.

I used to go to a lot of local gigs but it's been pretty dry lately. I think it's because it's always the same old stuff. one hardcore/grindcore band after another. not much exciting stuff going on.

Yeah, hc and metal are big in here too and some say Lahti is the hc-capital of Finland. Though I haven't been much to the shows lately because of insufficient time and funds.
