while i too question the taste, i think this has more to do with value. the article said the peices were among the most expensive in the collection. anyone who pays that much for "art" is wasting their money...while i enjoi Monet immensely, i would never pay millions of dollars for one of his works even if i had the money. id rather get new pieces
you're right. it does have to do with the value. i think the price put on that piece is more of a travesty than the actual theft itself.
