Title: Rap/Hip-Hop
Post by: alvarezbassist17 on Jan 05, 2008, 10:46 PM
Discuss your gangsta ass shit.  Let's talk about some rap that's not on the RADIO.  That shit hurts the genre way too much.

Here's what I've been bumpin lately:

Brother Ali - the undisputed truth (quite possibly the best rap cd I've ever heard)
GZA - Liquid Swords
Raekwon - Only built 4 cuban linx
Del Tha Funkee Homosapien - 3030, no need for alarm
swollen members - bad dreams
ghostface killah - supreme clientèle
method man - 421...the day after

let's hear some dope recommendations

Tupac's underground music (not the shitty official releases that remixed his unreleased songs b'cuz they ruined perfectly good songs)
mobb deep's "hell on earth" is an essential rap album
The Roots
Common has nice beats but I dont think he can rap

Come to think of it, I dont listen to rap hardly at all... because of all the mainstream shit turns me off

My Essential Hip Hop Albums/Artists (no particular order):

1. Big Pun - Capital Punishment
2. Nas - It was Written, Illmatic
3. Jay Z - Reasonable Doubt
4. Kanye West - The College Dropout
5. Common- in general
6. Mos Def - in general
7. Tribe called Quest - in general
8. LL Cool J - Mr. Smith
9. Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP
10. The Fugees - The score

tho i did see the cribs with the short dude (the one who not treach). he seemed to fit in with hip hop royalty...from 1992. srsly, it looks like he hasnt updated anything from back in the day. i think he was wearing an old (not in a cool retro way) nike sweatsuit. funny shit

Treach was ahead of his time and possibly one of the first to put that fluid rapid pace "flow" on a record.
he cant mess with Nas , but  "Naughty By Nature "  (first LP) was a classic .

jaheim ft. styles p - fiend
krayzie bone - paper

best rap songs ever
maybe i should include nas in there but i cant decide on which song.  probably purple.  most people wouldnt agree with me but i think his flow and his imagery in that song are flawless.  maybe get down?
oh and that soulja boy song.  lyrical jeanyous.  most poignant song of the 21st century.  wow.  crank, dat!

Of all the hip-hop albums I've heard, none has yet to top Deltron 3030.   That shit is epic.

The first two Cypress Hill albums are classics.

El-P is tremendous.  I love the eccentricities in his composition.  The beats, sound effects, sampling, the spaciness.  Nothing sounds quite like EL-P.   He is the shit.

All things considered, though, ICP is the greatest rapping clown duo in the WORLD.

Immortal Technique is the realest rapper dead or alive who has ever come about.
Although he's  kinda extreme at times, the essence of his intentions are real in an era where rap is diluted by bling bling and balling themes. Check him out

Del Tha Funkee Homosapien - 3030, no need for alarm
swollen members - bad dreams
ghostface killah - supreme clientèle
method man - 421...the day after

let's hear some dope recommendations

i just went through this thread again. and i never noticed how good your list is corey

only built 4 cuban linx is one of the best ever

i highly recommend ghostface killah's ironman.. over supreme clientele.. rza does the production for the whole ironman album. and it shows

also. liquid swords is on your list which is an incredible album as well.

check out. Nas - Illmatic.
and
Nas- It was Written

illmatic is a classic. but i like it was written a little bit more

heres a song from it was written. its  one of top 5 favorite rap songs of all time. maybe my favorite.

UK Hip Hop such as Jehst and Phi Life Cypher is sick.

Trip-hop, DJ Shadow, Portishead, Massive Attack.

Dangermouse is sick, especially his stuff with Jemini.  His work on the grey album mixing the beetles white album with Jay-Z's black album is a feat!

Dan the automators stuff like Lovage, and Deltron 3030 is good.

Giant Panda are pretty fresh.  American but one of the members is part japanese and occasionally raps in japanese, it has  an interesting/sick flow when he does.

MF Doom, GZA, Mos Def, Cunninlynguists, Jurrasic 5, Abdominal all get regular spins!

whatever happened to Dr. Dre's Detox album? I haven't heard anything about it in over a year, and 2009 was supposed to finally be the year we heard it.

no it is.  the other day I saw an interview with the game and he said its coming out and he said its incredible. I guess he's on a couple of tracks.   its bullshit that its taken so long tho.  and its so lame how dre doesn't preform.  i'd love to see him and Em share the stage again.

Yea ben, I was pretty stoked to see that someone else on the board likes Nosaj Thing after seeing your sig.  He's one of my favorite dj's for sure.  The first time I heard Man on the Moon I fell in love with the music.  Then found it was Aquarium by Nosaj Thing.  Have you seen his new Visual Show that he's doing? It looks sick!  I'm going to go see Nosaj and Gaslamp Killer in the middle of February for the first time.   But dude Im so glad u introduced me to Phaseone man.  White Collar Crime is one of the best mixes i've heard in a while.  I can get completely lost in that shit.  So dope

I'm not too big on rap or hip hop but I have a very soft spot for nerdcore hip hop, well some. I enjoy MC Lars and MC Frontalot mostly.

I saw Lars open for The Aquabats during Comic-Con week in 2008 and Lars/Frontalot again during Comic Con week last year. They put on a great show.

I've been fancying Eminem and Jay-Z a lot these past few weeks. And as people mentioned earlier, Eminem was great back in the day. Marshall Mathers LP is raw and overall just an amazing album. It's also kind of haunting at the same time mainly with "Stan" and "Kim".

The Grey Album Jay-Z did with Danger Mouse is just ...gah! I think an album based on Beatles' samples was a great idea and it's an album that's on current rotation.

Probably my fav 2 hip hop tracks of all time.

Souls Of Mischief - From 93 Till Infinity (Best Quality) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mt3vZHDiM8#)

GRAVEDIGGAZ - DIARY OF A MADMAN (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gE-5Q_xyiwo#)

I really enjoyed the 90's Hip-Hop scene but tend to have lost track with it now.I just keep going back to Wu-Tang, De la Soul, A tribe called Quest, etc, etc.A lot of artists seems to come and go now where as there were some timeless tracks written in that decade.

Need help from you Hip Hop gurus. I had the most awesome compilation album of Hip Hop about 10 years ago, which I had compiled from random downloads from Kazaa and others back then. Now Im tracking the songs I had there.

Found one so far: Pharoahe Monch - No Mercy (Feat. M.O.P.)

So I am asking first, this next tune came to my head but I cant find it, the lyrics go something like this, sang by a woman:
"You could be wrong but you dont see it when you need to see it, you could be wrong but you dont see it when you need to see it"

Any idea? Im pretty sure that was one of them

Im pretty sure I had some Capone-N-Noreaga in there too but I cant remember which song... any ideas which songs were cool back in 1999 - 2001? I really want to find the stuff I had there, they were just really cool, all of them.

Lately I've been listening to artists off the UK based label My First Moth. They've released seven donuts so far. Just little remixes of old classics but with a new twist. Here's a few links:

DJ Mischief remix of J-Live's Satisfied: Dj Mischief - Satisfied? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KEPjyCOiNA&playnext=1&list=PLE08576D378005D06#)

and Omas' Remix of De La Soul's Stakes is High. Omas - Stakes Is High (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LS0TIUTBr9I#)

Almost as good as the originals. Take a listen.

A few people mentioned Immortal Technique, underrated and underground rapper (I'm glad he's underground though). I've heard him on some freestyle battles and it's pretty good but where his lyricism really shines is in the written verses like:
Immortal Technique - Dance with the Devil:
Dance With The Devil - Immortal Technique (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qggxTtnKTMo#)

I'm glad Big L was mentioned too because he is definitely amongst the best rappers, just too bad he was killed before he could make as many tracks as say B.I.G. or Tupac.
Big L - Casualties of a Dice Game:
big L casualties of a dice game (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAfhCsdw9Zg#)

"Conscious" Rap like Mos Def and Talib Kweli (aka Blackstar); they have many good tracks, I've always liked this one:
Blackstar - Thieves In The Night (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5kBz7D3rHo#)

There have been some great diss tracks from rap too, Nas - Either comes to mind but I think GZA - Paper Plates (50 cent diss) is one of the best:
GZA - Paper Plates(50 cent Diss) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXGlHT5NSno#)
(trust I searched like every version of this song and all of them have one of the best lines cut out right in the middle of the track where he says "who shot ya, ya dont have enough on ya roster, move like a fed, talk like a mobster.")

Of course the whole Wu Tang Clan is well respected by any real hip-hop head or fan of rap.

The only good "mainstream" rapper Jadakiss, yeah he raps about ice and selling drugs and shit like that but he at least actually lives it, met him in person in Yonkers myself.
Jadakiss Freestyle (He Goes In) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OO7cFg8efI0#)

To me there's really no best rapper (b/c "best" is subjective) but those I listed are my top 5 (counting Blackstar and Wu Tang Clan both as 1 each). Of course B.I.G. and Pac but I don't mention them in my top 5 because they get enough credit and we all know they're GOATs

Best song on the album, if any single track could be named the best.

If your into hip hop/ jazz fusion check out this band called Skalpel, you'll probably dig.
Also, I know it's old but I've been listening to Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2 a lot lately.
Check out Cool Calm Pete, he only has one official album as of now, but it's really great. The dude is an incredible producer.
Lastly, I've probably mentioned him before but please check out MF DOOM if you haven't already. The guy is one of the top 10 mc/producers of all time in my opinion.
Those are my current recommendations if you guys are looking for some cool hip hop

Greatest rapper of all time, bar none.

I used to think the same thing but he really does have a lot of material out there that isn't that good.  Looking forward to the new album for sure.  U guys need to check out the new ASAP Rocky mixtape.  Awesome production and his flow is dope.  Dude is madd talented.

- Immortal Technique.
- Lowkey.
- Celph Titled.
- Vinnie Paz.
- RA The Rugged Man.
- Lupe Fiasco.
- Atmosphere.
- Ludacris.
- Dead Prez.
- Mos Def.
- NWA.
- Tonedeff.

That's pretty much all I listen to, rap-wise.

Yeah, there's definitely been a couple of lackluster albums in his career.  He often leaves his best songs off his albums (Many people don't realize that I Am could have been just as good as Illmatic if he had done what he originally intended to do) and doesn't always have the best ear for good production. However, the sheer quality of many of his unreleased songs, mixtape songs and amazing, scene-stealing guest appearances are honestly too many to count. There's a misconception that Nas hasn't done anything good since Illmatic, and that's not just true. It Was Written and Lost Tapes are both amazing, and you just have to do some searching for the rest.

I mostly listen to 90s and early 2000s rap. I don't like this new poppy garbage going on that guys like lil wayne and kanye west started.I listen to old Common, jedi mind tricks, old bone thugs, old SPM (before he liked underage girls), old tupac, biggie, dr. Dre, and kool g rap (him and vinnie paz from jedi mind should do an album together)

Quit being so close minded. Those Wu CD's dude listed have some of the greatest hip hop ever recorded. And listen, I'm from NY and I bump classic Ice Cube and Outkast all day. Why are people so region specific when it comes to hip hop? That would be like if I hated on Deftones because their from Cali and only liked Glassjaw because they are from NY. Just doesn't make sense.

Brother Ali's cool, too. I don't know how anyone could listen to songs like A Room with a View, Forest Whitaker, Picket Fence, Rain Water, etc. and claim it made their ears bleed. Those songs have very normal, accessible and soulful production and he raps about everyday subject matter. It's not like he's on super avant garde outerspace shit. I think people just hate on him because he's albino lol.

Dude how can you like that album, and still listen to all that odd future shit. Tyler and everyone associated with him and odd future are whack. They are not hip hop. Tyler fucking dissed immortal technique for god's sake, and yet he still acts like he deserves to be referred to as hip hop. He doesn't even have reverence for the art form he's supposedly a part of. There is way better stuff out there than odd future. It is in no way different or inventive. They're all just biting other's styles. I hope you figure that out soon. Sorry to go off but odd future and everything associated with them makes me sick. They are singlehandedly ruining hip hop for an entire young generation. There are currently young people that think these fools are more talented than BIG for christ's sake.

I don't listen to a shit load of modern hip hop, but as you said Del is one who comes to mind. ASAP Rocky is actually really dope. In terms of catchiness you could sort of compare him to Tyler and the like in the sense that I don't love all his lyrics but his beats tend to be really good. Purple Swag is one great one that comes to mind. And you are right, Hodgy does actually make great beats. DOOM and Cool Calm Pete are two more who come to mind off the top of my head right now. As you can see from some of my other posts I'm a huge DOOM fan though.

Thats dope u like Rocky man.. I really dig the whole crew.  People try to lump them in with Odd Future but I think Rocky picks much more interesting beats to spit over.  I really dig all the tracks he did with Clams Casino.  Great stuff.

You are right about that, he picks his beats well for sure. He is practically all I've been listening to lately. But yeah the stuff with Clams Casino is great, specifically Bass. Current hip hop kind of depresses me, but I still listen to some, it all depends. On that note, I do actually think that J Cole is pretty dope right now. With him, for me, it's less that I like all of his music  and more that I respect the way he models his career.

EDIT: It's also worth mentioning in this thread that the new BADBADNOTGOOD LP is fucking amazing and everyone should listen to it.

If you don't know who they are, they're some Canadian teenagers that cover (mostly) hip hop songs with jazz instrumentation and a jazz improv type of attitude. They're fucking incredible and this is coming from a dude that generally dislikes jazz. The two reinterpretations of James Blake songs are insane.

The album is free. Fuck it. Absorb it. Fuck to it. Fuck the screen while listening to it. Earjaculate from your earboners.

I think it's funny that the best they could come up with was a washing machine. I'm obsessed with the album too. I'll be doing the most mundane things, like cooking an omelette then bust out with the chorus to Fever or something.

Everything he does is great. Even though I agree that he took a bit of a dip in quality with Born Like This, he's still miles ahead of basically every other rapper. Plus when you look at albums like Operation Doomsday and MM FOOD, it's understandable why Born Like This isn't considered to be of the same standard. Those albums are so fucking classic

There are a lot of guys that spit like this right now though. And I guarantee they are not freestyling. But yeah I agree with your first statement about how commercial this art form has become. It's just pop music. The saddest part about hip hop is that even though many rappers have gotten rich, the people who made the REAL money from this art form are old, rich, white men.

Odd future is a joke. It's really really sad to me that so many young people listen to them and think that odd future is hip hop. They are not and never will be. Just a bunch of loser kids with no respect for the art form they're currently raping. Joey Badass, ASAP Rocky, Smoke DZA, The Underachievers, Action Bronson etc are the new wave right now. I could list a million of the greatest rappers everyone should listen to, but I'm just talking about what's new right now. BTW if you like OF that's cool. To each their own. Sorry to be a dick. Anyway, everyone should check this song. These dudes are gonna blow soon. Underachievers, Flatbush Zombies, Joey Badass, Action Bronson etc are really killing it right now. La Musica De Harry Fraud.

Hello! I am here to introduce to you the Brazillian hip-hop scene. Are you awared of this?
Probably you will not understand what the rappers are sayin/singing but you can definetly feel and enjoy the flow!

Also, we have some crazy beatmakers around here,
and hip hop had grown a lot down in south america!.. I know that seems a little stupid to you because hip hop have always been strong in US, but here in Brazil we definetly have a lot of good emcees. And the lyrics are very positive, its NOT the "shake-that-ass-and-look-at-my-new-car-because-i-have-a-lot-of-money" thing.

Here we go:

Shawlin - Coração (heart)
SHAW (SHAWLIN) - CORAÇÃO (CLIPE) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7MI1iaNMG0#ws)

Emicida, Projota, Rashid - Nova Ordem (new order)
Nova Ordem - Projota, Rashid e Emicida - Direção Toddy Ivon, Produção Navebeatz 3 Temores (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HoIKY2F-jIs#ws)

Criolo - Subirusdoistiozin
Criolo em "Subirusdoistiozin" no Estúdio Showlivre 2011 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89pDW3LeKlw#ws)

Emicida and Rael - Num é Só Ver (It's not just about to see it)
This one was produced by Beatnick and K-Salaam, you know them.

Emicida, Beatnick & K-Salaam Part. Rael da Rima - Num É Só Ver (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBNxkj8YZ1E#ws)

Well, I hope at least someone watch it. Who enjoy hip hop, ill flow and good beats will definetly got into this. Thank you! Peace.

EDIT: Ok if you doesnt like any of this shit below I will stop tryin'.

(the same) Shawlin - Malditos Políticos (F*cking Politics) THAT BEAT IS CRAAAAAAAAZY
14 - Shawlin - Op. 171 - Malditos Políticos [Prod. DJ Caique] (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Gs3_8CpN3k#)

I thought Game really put the West back on top cause he really has some great bar skills ...but this guy has SUBSTANCE on top of everything we have heard from rap from that side in 20 years (up there somewhat with Pac but not fully).. and he rapes them all..

dude has the flow of BONE, Andre3000 and that west shit like any 80's baby remembers

Kendrick is probably my favorite rapper right now. Its not just the substance of his lyrics but his flow is amazing.

Kendrick is good but I don't think he's as fantastic as everyone makes him out to be. He's really talented but we're only seeing the tail end of that. Give it 6 months and I don't think we will recognize who he is. His songs and flows are getting more and more commercial. I see him going in a similar trajectory as ASAP Rocky. I love him but now that he's getting big, with each new song you feel less and less of that 'underground' appeal that made him great when he was first discovered. And Juicy J is dope, but Wiz? Really?

Why thank you. I feel the same about you. When I think of hip hop I feel that there are some people that 'get it' and some that don't. What ''it'' is I can't quite explain lol, but I think you are one of those people that ''gets it''. But yeah man ASAP is just starting to get silly. I guess we can't blame him way too much. He was already a cocky young dude. Add that to his freaking astronomical rise to fame over just the last few months especially and it's hard not too expect things to go to his head. I just hope he doesn't lose it too much. I still think he's really talented. Unfortunately I see him as being alot more susceptible to being ''corrupted'' by the industry. I don't really see that so much from someone like Kendrick. Even less from someone like Danny Brown, but we're never gonna hear him on the radio lol. Yo btw where's that Viktor Vaughn rip at you were gonna upload? Sorry I haven't been able to upload more DOOM as well. I've been fucking busy.

Not as good as LiveLove, but I'm digging it. The singles he released this year were alright. Surprisingly I kinda enjoy the dubstep song. "Hell", "Suddenly", "1 Train", "Fashion Killa" are probably my current favorites though.
Title: Re: Rap/Hip-Hop
Post by: jbmp1390 on Dec 26, 2012, 07:10 AM
I actually liked the song with Skrillex too, which I didn't expect. I'm not really a fan of his music. The album is actually pretty good though. 1 Train is fantastic. How can you go wrong with ASAP, Joey Badass, Yelawolf, Action Bronson, Danny Brown and Big K.R.I.T. all on the same track? I like the Clams Casino productions as well. LVL is probably one of the top 3 songs on the album IMO. I was surprised to see that Danger Mouse produced a track as well. All in all, pretty great album though. With all the hype after LiveLoveASAP I was expecting to be very disappointed by the debut album but I was actually quite impressed. Not a huge fan of the current single, Fuckin Problem, though. It would be a much better song if they just removed Drake and 2 Chainz. Somehow those dudes manage to weasel their way into almost every song on current rap radio lol. Seriously, whenever I listen to my local rap station a song featuring 1 or both them is played like every 15 to 30 minutes. 2 Chainz is alright sometimes and I stress the word 'sometimes'. Drake is just ridiculous. I just can't buy his whole gangsta persona. He was on fucking Degrassi for god's sake lol. BTW what are everyone's thoughts on Macklemore? Thrift Shop is getting really big and is played almost constantly on my local stations. I can't really decide if I like him much or not. With that said I do have a lot of respect for the song 'Same Love'. The lyrics are so poignant and well thought out. Glad to finally hear a rapper seriously addressing the issue of homophobia in hip hop. If anyone wants a good documentary addressing that issue as well as others in hip hop I recommend watching Hip-Hop Beyond Beats and Rhymes. I've posted the link before but I'll do so again because I really believe it's about the best hip hop documentary I've ever seen. The documentary is the 2nd link. Hope you guys can watch it at some point. Specifically Cool Mountaineer and bright lights, big city. You're both quite intelligent about hip-hop and I'd love to hear your thoughts on this film if you get a chance to check it out.

Seriously? What's horrible about the production. Production wise I don't they're on the level of Flatbush Zombies, Pro Era, or ASAP Mob but they're production definitely isn't horrible by any means. Have you heard ''The Mahdi''? Great sample on that one. The beat for Herb Shuttles is tight. Maxing Out is another good one. They're are some songs that have weaker production than others but none are what I would call horrible. If you're comparing them to someone like Eric Arck Elliot from Flatbush Zombies, Chuck Strangers from Pro Era, or even Ty beats or hit boy from ASAP Mob then there is no comparison. Flatbush Zombies especially are just on another level with the beats.  Check out the video for MRAZ for a great example of that.

Hey all,

Was hoping for some hip-hop recommendations. Apart from the early 90's classics (Cypress, HOP, Wu tang, Public Enemy, Beasties etc.)
I don't listen to much hip-hop. Deltron 3030 is probably my most listened to hip-hop record (out of a tiny collection).

I would prefer some with lyrics which are political or socially conscious, rather than other macho bullshit.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, I know I haven't given much info to go on!

Cheers, lozz.

http://youtu.be/5VtsTW_t9xk (http://youtu.be/5VtsTW_t9xk)

Album (with link): Will Rap For Food https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GK9EmWZNPpo&list=PL9jmZZBcWhYQOfgtHnniROwxeR1qrr6hG&index=1&spfreload=10 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GK9EmWZNPpo&list=PL9jmZZBcWhYQOfgtHnniROwxeR1qrr6hG&index=1&spfreload=10)
Year: 2001
Description: Their debut album and the only one Ive listened to so far. By this small listen I must say that its one of the best hip hop groups that Ive heard. I dont know if I even need to check out their other stuff anytime soon. Was really hard to choose a song from this great album, so I chose the first. Listen to the full album if you have time.

Visionaries - In The Good

http://youtu.be/wRlJiQMM6sU (http://youtu.be/wRlJiQMM6sU)

Album (with link): We Are The Ones (We've been waiting for) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZ7JeJF3ZTk&index=1&list=PLcjYBDzkCaOG99UcsOHS3G2jTSN6tFAru (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZ7JeJF3ZTk&index=1&list=PLcjYBDzkCaOG99UcsOHS3G2jTSN6tFAru)
Year: 2006
Description: Again a rather unknown band even for me, I think I've had their discography for like 8 years but never really knew what they could do. Another great hiphop act.

MFDoom, Nas - Some of us have angels

http://youtu.be/7A2sOS1R0Qw (http://youtu.be/7A2sOS1R0Qw)

Album (with link): Nastradoomus https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttrbiUktgUs (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttrbiUktgUs)
Year: 2003
Description: MF Doom has done so much that I cant really keep up or even understand what the guy is about. He makes great music though. It will take the rest of my life to check all of his stuff. This album is rapping by Nas, beats from Doom. I guess it can be called a remix of Nas' Nastradamus from 1999. This one feels much better than that, for me.

The Roots - You Got Me

http://youtu.be/MJCHeEQV454 (http://youtu.be/MJCHeEQV454)

Album (with link): Things Fall Apart https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dpZaQU5MwQ (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dpZaQU5MwQ)
Year: 1999
Description: All I knew about The Roots was the Jimmy Fallon shows and what was in the media. Didnt think that much of them. But. At least their first albums are just awesome hip hop.

thanks 4 that recommendation man... Heavy jazz and they were actually playing key to some oF ghost's old jams!

great hip hop is only gonna thrive on things like this .

I think Bronson's album is gonna have some really solid production though.. I steady give up on this genre...  but the beats and production along with some semi/horrible Flows make me think it will always be saved and everytime (http://i.imgur.com/cqhncV1.jpg)

I don't possess their CDs but I did listen to their albums. It's the most refrehsing band I've had the chance to hear among all the recent hip-hop artist out there, which usually don't make any impression on me. They don't have many albums, I believe the third one is due out soon. I recommend you all give it a listen. It's quite catchy.

RTJ3 is out and it's spectacular, and I think all 3 albums are available for free on their site if you give your email address.

Lol... Real hip hop is dedicated to those who know how to listen to it, for some noobs the only Hip-Hop they're aware of is the bullshit that gets aired on mainstream radio and television. There is plenty of good music out there, u just need to look for it ...

Not sure hip-hop was intended to be the crutch of elitists? New RTJ's really good. Feels like an honest progression: bit more mature, but still a lot of dick jokes involved!

Wtf... No... Hip-hop is unquestionably in a unique place at the moment, like Mick Jenkins said, "if you believe hip-hop is dead you're not really looking."

Example: I was searching for Onyx, it has been rumoured a new album with a potential collaboration of other rap group...
