well, I hadn't said much about it, but it was for an umbilical hernia, outpatient surgery, but they did put me "under" so I had a great nap :). Everything went well, and I am excited to heal and start getting my stomach area back to somewhat flat. So, all is good and I will be fine.

Oh man. Vantage point was such a horrible movie. The whole thing was so obvious from the get go. Then I had to sit there and watch the same stupid scene over and over and over again. All for some shitty ending where they tried to pull it all together and hide how bad the movie was with a bunch of explosions and car chases.
The new movie "Wanted" AWESOME. it was the best movie I have seen in a really long time. I think everyone should see it.

I have never heard that dopamine gets you high though. I know it raises your Blood Pressure when we give it to patients though.
if I am correct, amphetamines make the same reaction with dopamine as sleep deprivation..
and well, raised blood pressure can usually lead to being high - your blood is brought more often to your brain, containing more oxygen (high blood pressure = breathing more to maintain the oxygen levels), and oxygen gets you high.

good man. Tired. I did a new low caffeine intake today. Only 4 red bulls. Im slowly getting off of it

Last night I went to this party, one of my university group mates decided to leave the university for other subject (I am studying Culture Management, she went out for Kinesiotherapy), so we got drunk.. and I think I was the one being most drunk. And that made me understand, that in most parties, I am that person, which, like, gets higher and more wasted than everyone else..
This made me disappointed in myself and disturbed highly, again.
And I am again having thoughts on stopping drinking.
I would recommend sobriety. After 9 months of forced sobriety from my deployment to Afghanistan, I really realized how much drinking kind of sucks. The money, the dehydration, the hangovers, the stupid shit you say when you really don't wana say it, the calories, decreased testosterone, more long term health issues. Its really just not worth it. I still indulge in an occasional drink every once in a while. Its usually just one or two drinks at dinner or something. Even then I kind of wonder why I do it.
I say go for it, you will feel better about yourself.
Oh, and only 4 red bulls is really good with me. That's usually just how I start my morning. Followed by at least 12 cups of coffee and another 4 pack or red bulls. But usually 24 cups of coffee just to play it safe.
Today I only did 4 red bulls and a liter of coffee. Im slowly knocking it down. Im finally ready to kick the caffeine for good.
I hope you were being sarcastic on the numbers.. :)
otherwise I should one more time tell you you are not healthy that way.
and yeah.. I know sobriety would make me feel so much more.. it's just, I have this highly addictive personality (when I say highly, it's HIGHLY) and I always feel the need to get high/whatever. I don't know, I will probably have to discuss this matter with my girlfriend, if she also wants me to do that, and maybe she wants to be sober herself..
I have always been also wondering about cutting down on alcohol, but not the other substances..
Yeah, I just slept four hours (hangover, typical), and woke up at 9 PM.. I will probably not sleep throughout the night. Thanks God I downloaded Oz's all seasons, some good stuff!

I was not vaccinated for the diseases the ticks spread, and in Lithuania, they spread it is very hazardous. And now I will have to wait one whole month to see if I am infected with something (like encephalitis or Lyme Disease)..
and in addition to this, today I woke up with my liver (or appendicitis) still aching.. which is not good, not good. My friend got her appendicitis removed few days before, and now I am starting to think it would be so much better for me to have it removed too - cause when you have it removed, you cannot drink for, like, few months.. and since I want to cut down on drinking..

ok, quick English less on for you bro. When you put "itis" on the end of any word. It means an inflammation. So appendicitis is the inflammation of the appendix. So when you are just trying to speak of a specific organ you dont put itis on the end ( IE Liver, appendix, heart, skin ect ect) but when you want to speak about the inflammation of these organs you throw the itis on the end (IE hepatitis, appendicitis, pericarditis, dermatitis) So if you think your appendix is hurting, you might have appendicitis, but your appendix is hurting, not your appendicitis.
But exactly where is your pain bro? If you drew an even cross across your abdomen and made 4 equal quadrants ( right upper, left upper, right lower, left lower) and we are talking about your right and left. Where exactly is the pain? your liver is located in the right upper quadrant. and you can find your appendix by feeling for the very top of the protruding part of your right hip, and then find the exact middle distance between that and your belly button. So pretty much yoru appendix is exactly in the middle of you belly button and right hip bone. If you have appendicitis you should be able to push on it and feel the pain. Or if someone hits you on the bottom of your right foot and you feel a sharp pain in your appendix, its probably a good idea to get checked out sooner than later.
the pain is, I'm not too sure - or right upper or right lower.
sometimes it seems it is just beneath the ribs, sometimes it is way lower. And yeah, yesterday (today the pain is a bit less intense) when I slightly pushed the place, it ached more.
But what is strange, I know I have had this pain before, on various occasions. Today pain is much more unnoticeable, so probably it all just went away, hopefully.

But yeah man. I try to help people out with health issues when I can. It could also be an ulcer. Does it particularly hurt more or less when you have not eaten for a while? Or like 30 min after you eat? or right after you eat? I mean there is all kinds of shit that the pain could be. Im just kind of reaching for the obvious things that it could be.
If you had appendicitis you would have a Temperature too, and it would be very very painful, and you would need immediate attention.
if you were developing problems with your liver from drinking too much. Well that's a bit harder to tell without blood test. But you could technically have a swollen liver ( that you could feel or see ) or have bleeding in your upper GI tract. So when you took a shit it would look really dark and be really gooey.
you could even have some kind of hernia. A hernia will usually go down to your testicles or around the belly button area. But they do go higher too. But you would also probably be in constant pain
It could be Gallstones. That pain is very , very acute though. Im getting the feeling yours is just something that you notice, then it goes away?

I had this kind of pain after most of the parties (which would indicate this is a liver problem, though my piss is not changing color, my skin or my eyeballs are not turning yellow either..)
that pain.. well, today I would give it 1, cause there's scarcely any pain at all, but days like yesterday it varies from 1 (unnoticeable) to almost 6-7 (when I woke up and stretched/moved in my bed). Today I just feel that place.. the location of pain is not moving. it is somewhere here:

my mom had her appendix removed (dirty story - appendix erupted and she still had to work for like eight hours.. that sucked badly. my mom is a worrior.. I think she's the strongest woman I've ever seen in my life), but there are nothing more to it.
I think I'll just try to cut down on drinking now, if that helps, it means there were some liver problems. If that will not help, this means I have a slowly changing appendix (just like my friend had - in the beginning she felt from no pain to considerable amount of pain, but then one night the heavy pain started and she wasn't even able to move.. maybe that will happen to me too, maybe not.
Since today I am feeling good (I mean, close to good, even though today I had this moment of my heart aching (damn, my health is sooo much crappier than ever)).. well, we'll wait and see, I suppose!

it started.. about half a year ago? occasionaly.
I'm not sure if something makes it worse.. moving in some cases, I mean, swaying
pain is.. "hole-y". it reminds me of pain when you run too fast and get exhausted, and the same spot is aching for the lack of oxygen or something.
for this time it continued almost three days, last times it varied from one to two days, usually.
relevant information? - it usually is there after drinking alcohol.
what else?.. I don't know. maybe, well, it is relevant that technically I got poisoned with alcohol two days ago.

it depends on what friends are those. if we're talking about my closest friends (three of them), we usually just turn on some music, smoke hookah, roll some joints, talk about stuff, watch a movie or so, chilling out - and what I am absolutely glad with is that we are able, when needed, to stay without any conversation for like an hour or more, and there is no awkward silence whatsoever. and with other friends we tend to, well, drink a lot and go to pubs clubs etc. but since I have had my time of partying my ass out before, now I prefer to chill out with my closest friends. Yeah, well, I dislike heat too, but I dislike cold so much more..
in Lithuania we have all four seasons - Winter (it used to be cold and snowy as hell, but now because of the greenhouse effect it only gets as cold as about -5 degrees of Celsius (when it used to be down to -35 degrees)); Spring (it is very beautiful in Lithuania, though cold, all the nature wakes up from winter sleep); Summer (sunny, but nowadays because of the GE too rainy and much colder) and the beautiful Fall (when all the leaves change colours, it is somewhat warm till October, but then the shit begins - cold weather with rain..).
and I'd better be somewhere where it would be about +20-25 degrees, when now outside it's +12, and the sun is shining, so, without the sun, we'd get total about +8-10 degrees. and now that is f--king cold for the first day of fall.
I could seriously ( I know people say shit like this, but I mean it ) seriously live in below freezing conditions every day for the rest of my life

ha, the US Navy my friend. Actually, more precisely its the US Marine Corps. Fuckers make it mandatory for me to study this particular material. Then take two written test ( which of course I smoked) and 3 oral boards. I took one board already, have another in 2 days. Then have to schedule my last. It is just a ridiculous amount of knowledge about the marine corps. But if I dont get it, im fucked. I still study on my own. I constantly read, give myself vocabulary words for the week, grammar rules for the week, read countless books on biology and medicine ect ect. But right now my self education has been smothered but this " FMF pin" that I have to obtain in order to enjoy my last 2 years in the Navy.
I dont even have a high school diploma bro. Just a GED. I cant wait to get back into school.

Actually I've never been a fan of the Cure.. what do you find in their music? Maybe I was looking in wrong places (dah, albums) after all?
i like the cure because the songs are awesome and the lyrics are prety clever. if you need a place to start, i suggest boys dont cry (pre-synth stuff, reminds of alot of shoegaze type stuff) or seventeen seconds (more synthy and dark).

Its hot as fuck on Okinawa. But it has stated to like cool off a little bit in the mornings and evenings. Its pretty great. My Anglo ancestors were for sure not from a warm - humid climate. I cant wait to move back to a high altitude desert.

Well.. when it comes to passion, I spend my days creating sound scapes with my friend.
We're composing music, some, I don't know - ambient texture - post - rock. We have the album almost finished in writting (13 songs, overall about hour and a half of material). Some time soon we should start recording it.. and I am always creating some music back home, spending time.
Cause, well, music is my passion; and I am not one of those millions of people that say "music is my life" and do not actually mean it. I would give up eating, sleeping, walking, seeing, fucking, everything for a single tune of my favourite music.

I personally find a strange comfort in monotony when I control it though. Like at times when I have total control of my schedule and can live very structured. work, eating, gym, reading. All at exact times and routines. I function very well like that. But I dont do as well when I add girl friends or friends into the mix. Because then I have to compromise my structure in order to give back to the relationship or friendship. Pretty much, I love being a loner.

I think I'm good.. Today I tried to call my friend, which was in a really bad car accident about a year ago, he did not answer, and then called me back. I haven't heard from him for months, and in the beginning of his recovery he was not able to talk, move, anything.. now he talks, you are able to understand what is he saying and so, but I can really feel how much his brain were damaged during the accident.. It's like talking to a 20 year child.

yeah. We have two really nice gyms on base. And they are free. Also pools and tracks and stuff. There're are for sure some perks in the military that you dont think about

im a pretty husky guy. I have to have a super strict diet to keep the weight off ( which a rarely break) But I dont really mind, its the healthy thing to do anyways. But I do put on muscle pretty quick. So that is cool. Pretty much ever since I was about half way through my freshman year of high school I have been one of the bigger guys that I know. So that works out as long as I keep my cardio up and dont eat pizza all the time.

how low are we talking about? a low BP is usually a good thing. Just be sure to drink LOTS of water and you should be good.

That is just weird. I have never heard of anyone with chronic low BP. All you have to do is introduce more fluid into the vascular system and you should be good. OR constrict your vessels. What are they doing to treat this?

I am not even trying to find a treatment whatever, I am actually not sure if I need one.
Cause generally, if I drink enough liquids and have my normal nutrition, everything is pretty much okay. Of course, there's always drawbacks, like, always the feeling of cold feet and hands, very often occuring needles and pins, difficulties in waking up early at mornings (sometimes I almost faint if I jump out of bed too fast)..
this does not usually disturb me, just some minor drawbacks.
btw I would not call my BP, like, CHRONIC low.. this word dramatises the situation. I am just a low-blood-pressure type of person. Just like my mom, or my mom's father.. runs in the family.

for the first time I held ~50 seconds (side plank), but my dog then bothered me and had to stop.
and yes, it is hard - after the ~35 seconds it all gets kind of shaky - did not count how long could I do the normal plank though..
I think my core is, well, quite strong.

No problem man. I'm a big advocate of exercise and a healthy life style. It's just a quality of life type thing.
But for a bit more input. Your abdominal strength and core strength are two different things. This is why the core gets ignored so much. People think that if you just work your lower back and abs, they will be good. Also most people don't exercise enough to need a really strong core. But a weak core can cause all kinds of exercise injuries ( I myself am trying to recover from a hip injury from my ridiculously weak core ) A weak core will also limit the strength, endurance, and function of your larger muscles. won't really help you look better or anything like that. It's all up to you to do what works for you. I just personally would recommend doing core strengthening exercises at least once a week. You can also look up kettlebell exercises for core strength.

well, according to Cedric (we talked to him after the concert.) they'll be in Poland around June/July, but most probably as OMAR RODRIGUEZ GROUP not as Mars Volta. My friend e-mailed the agency that organised their concert and they said that probably more than a single concert is planned ;D

we're playing a lot with my band, we've moved to new studio and now are fully equiped - drummer, two guitarists, bassist and a cellist/saxophonist. we're having quite many shows these days, which is absolutely nice. and we're planning to record our debut album (double) at the end of this year.
university sucks, it's quite boring, I'm a natural born talent for understanding the things easily, so I have no idea why do I sit through these boring lectures. my conscience tells me to go there..
and well, the spring has come, my heart wishes for someone to appear inside it, to love thoroughly.. but I think that's not happening. there just aren't chicks I'd like around me.

Hey, I'm glad to hear everything is going so well for you, man. Being in a band sounds like such an awesome opportunity. And I can relate to the Uni thing because I'm the same way. Sometimes you just have to put those feelings behind you and learn, because that's what these people are getting paid to do; teach you something. Take advantage of it and learn everything you can. I say don't worry about the love thing because it will come to you naturally on its own.
I'll be starting school later on this month and I'm really excited. I went through some personal issues with myself, but now I'm grounded and I feel on top of the world again. It's so refreshing to feel like this again, man. I feel greatttttttttt.

how is the Picturesque Episodes coming along?
well, the new album is slowly falling into place. so far I've finished (until the FINISH finish phase) seven songs out of sixteen. much work ahead, but I am quite pleased with how I wrote the last part of the album, which is pretty much complete.
yet I still have a very much annoying thing about being a one man project, I feel a bit underappreciated (which is actually the opposite of what I would expect) . I mean I know anyone can create music nowadays, but I feel a bit better than the newbie one man music projects. and yet I feel somewhat unnoticed, especially in my homeland, Lithuania.
anyway. how you've been, both of you?
I'm doing well. I miss making music, I just haven't had time since I graduated from college, and all my friends have real jobs, so they never feel like jamming or anything. So that kind of sucks, because every once in a while I'll have an idea for a song or album that would rock. Whatever, though.
As for you, seeing as you have talent, I'm positive you'll find some appreciation and such soon. You and your music are definitely always being noticed here by a bunch of us.
I hope you'll eventually find someone to rock out with. For people with creativity struggle it's the most important part of life.. I don't know what would I do if I could not completely have contact with writing/playing music. And if to talk about my music and Sharing Lungs, yes, I am very grateful to this community, cause generally like 50 percent of all my listeners come from here :)
btw, do you have any records of your previous music endeavors?
yeah I'll have to dig around here somewhere for some old stuff. One project had a myspace page back in the day, but someone shut that down a couple years ago.

My band is really okay. We're doing quite much these days, playing live shows and stuff, yet our dancer is in Turkey for this season, but she's coming back in January or something.

well, H is obviously not a note.
this is how I explained the title to one of the fans - 'Lonesome Sky' is the story on which album is based (though I am not really thinking about revealing the story in any way to my listeners. I just divided album into "Figures", while the titles used to give off some material of the plot), and H Minor is my personal perspective. What I mean by that - on many occasions I had my nickname regarded as "H". So H Minor is my absolutely independent and personal perspective on music and the album itself. Hope this explains things a bit.
I am still thinking about the story thing.
Cause album does work without story anyway, but.. well I just do not know.

You've been conecting a lot less latelly Dude. To be honest today for me was a shitty day, my bro and me got into two arguments/close to verbal fights (in 20 minutes or less) with the douche of the building where we work and a stupid client who got upset because he does his job horribly everyday (which affects directly on us). But after that i got a band reunion, thigs are going cool for the moment, we'll have an entire weekend focus session. We'll be together from friday afternoon to sunday for making new songs and tightening the old ones. Oh, and today for a lack of a better tranpsort I stepped on my old skate, felt like I was 14 again and brought me golden memories, really cool.
In more general lines it seems I decided to study publicity and have recently chose the university i'm going to. Only 4 blocks fom my work, that's ace!

yeah, it's all about ups and downs now, though I notice more ups lately.. not sure why though.
I mean, well, first of all, I dropped down in the university rotation lists, therefore I am no more getting my monthly scholarship - which was pretty much my only income, so I'm broke - yeaaaaaaaaaah, very nice. And I actually lost all interest in university, cause it's just too boring, and the people are all soulless shitheads. Though, I'm studying about Radio Media this half-year, and it was absolutely nice, when the lecturer just came to the class and said he's honored to have me (as in the lithuanian musician) as his student. That was pretty sweet.
In other news, I am absolutely tired of winter. I mean, winters in Lithuania are a bitch - it holds for about 6 months, and I'm pretty sure it will still be here for a couple of months - and I want spring NAO. seriously.
All is kind of well with my girlfriend - I can't believe, it's actually my first functioning relationship that lasts this long so far, and it's all really, really good. I love how she is into me, even into my music, and we both listen to pretty much same bands - which for me personally is a base requirement for a chick. And you will not find a lot of chicks in Lithuania that would enjoy bands like MONO, GY!BE, etc like me - and she does. We just have a connection of a deeper level, kinda.
And finally, the major aspect of my life - musicianship. We're kinda stale with slowattack. Though we had a really nice show couple of days ago, just because our old bassist was in the town. And the problem is, that the new one.. kinda sucks. I mean, yeah, he's good at playing at all, but it's been weeks and he still cannot enter our "atmosphere", to get to the vibe that we have. I really hope he will get to it soon.
Def-arg, publicity? How come? is it something along the lines of public relations and journalism?
it's about doing magazine, tv, radio publcitary spots, whatever needs to be sold. To be honest with you, good ideas come to my mind for things like that but I fear to end doing all those shitty and sexist perfumes tv commercials that Foz puts. They get on my nerves, I have to change everytime one of those appears.
well, dude, all I can say is - fight for what you believe; what I mean by this - if you have good ideas - go, try and put them out. And don't take any shit by the people that will try to make you do those shitty photoshop polished commercials :)

Yes, I have been to Latvia, Riga, I usually take my flights from there, or take my connecting flights there etc etc. In my head it's a better country than Lithuania, but those both are in a really bad shape now.
Yes, Lithuania is strugling a lot now. Our politicians are total dumbasses with no sense of direction of what they are doing. Random laws, random shit going on. The media is crazy about any kind of glowing scandals, people are generally very angry, disappointed with everything and very very ignorant in many ways (I'm talking about racism and homophobia here, and generally lithuanians lack the information about better things in the universe).
Yes, we do have the highest suicide rate in the world. No wonder. This place is dark.
I can't wait to escape, but I will always keep my "heritage" as a lithuanian person. i'm not even sure why anymore :)

Well, I am slowly getting better, but VERY slowly. I think I won't be able to walk normally for a couple of weeks, including any other dynamic movement like bending etc etc etc. The plans, well, are very down to earth - I have to write a paper for the university, a lot of projects and works. Then we will play a couple of shows with this swedish (?) band Locomotora in Kaunas and Vilnius with slowattack, and we will be recording our album sometime on May.
Then on May 10 I will release Constellations (I have to finish the illustrations, baaaaaah!) and will slowly begin 'Dreams IV'. But slowly, I don't want to rush things. We could think about a release date in summer, july/august probably.

Erasmus exchange, studying there for a semester. I'll study "Cinema and Television" which is cool, but I am more excited about cultural life there; basically "college" life, cause I pretty much never had something like that. I'm excited about exploring the cultural differences etc, and so I've heard turks are very very friendly and welcoming.

if i was to go to turkey sometime the next year i'd definitely come visit, but the chance of me going there soon is slim. I just started my life as a "college student" myself a month ago. I didn't move quite as far away as you are going to though.
Yeah, that is what scares me a little. I haven't been so far away from home.. I had been living "on my own", independent and stuff, so that is not the worst of my worries, but the fact that life there is quite different is a little scary.. but I think I'll be fine. Nothing will happen that a smile couldn't fix.

You'll make friends in a few days though. I don't know what it's like other places, but up here, the first week of school is just a 7 day party. It's a really good icebreaker when you don't already know any of your classmates.
Yeah, we have the orientation week too which in my eyes serves as the 7 day party altogether. And I think I'll make some friends quickly - I am very good at it (yeah, quote, "I only ever loved myself but I loved myself so well"). I just want to make some really GOOD friends.
I've been lately in this whole friend rediscovery shit. I realized, that to some extent a person can have many "acquaintances".. yeah, we can call them "friends" but in reality there are only a bunch of the people that you can call REAL friends. Real friends are the people that respect everything that you are, that go along anything you would do and basically accept you for who you are. Realistically speaking, I feel as if I was forced to wear a mask with most of my friends - and I found out, that many of them, my "friends" don't even see me as close to them as I think I am. That's hurtful.
I'm not sure what's up with this whole episode anyway - I've been lonely as hell. Yeah, we broke up with my girlfriend, some shit happened between me and one of my closest friends. I began closing in, kinda, but at the same time I found out who are my true friends. Lose some - win some, I guess.
Not that any of you should care about my emotional problems, lol.
Back to the subject, yeah, I'm pretty sure I'll be meeting some awesome people in forthcoming weeks. :)

HBO's promoting a new app of theirs by putting this week's episode on it. I kind of regret watching it now because now I have to wait like 2 weeks to see a new one, but I really couldn't resist at the time.
But yeah, I never read the books, and I'm astonished at how fast they're "developing" characters, if you know what I mean (I don't want to spoil anything).

and I really think you should check 'Born to Die', you have to get used to it, but once you do, this album rolls in your head for months. This has literally happened to me; and with Lady Gaga this only lasted for a couple of months. I am surprised that I like pop at all, but I guess the catchiness, sensibility and sexiness always wins.

I am nervous about Young Galaxy. It's a really sold ambient work and I would like it to be heard by more than 10 people (what basically happened to my ALL ambient albums, except for Sleeping in the Opiate Forest, which is surprisingly popular amongst the crowd).
I am making the other project, King Sleep, come in to life. It what 'audiologik' was supposed to be, beats, tracks, vocals, lady vocals, effects.
I am basically making my own Purity Ring, just without dubstep and their awesomeness, in my own way. Electronic/idm-ish music with melodies and lots of effects and taste, plus ambience. I am very happy that I found the balance between a story, ambient and beats. Like, part ambient, part beats without going overboard. overshaaaaare..
I'll share your tunes. Just sucks because the ambient crowd is so tiny. But I for one, am I pumped to your new tunes.
As for Lana, I'm gonna check her out. A couple songs I've heard were alright, but they definitely took some getting used to. Blue Velvet was great though, could be what gets me into her. Serial Killer is another good song I just found by her.

it's just too gorgeous. Her album has way too many POP songs, as in "you're no good for me, baby", but half of the songs are very nice! Something along the lines of this, just faster kind of.

Have you heard manchester orchestra before? Or for something more upbeat could give Kora a listen good NZ group and definitely not aggressive metal lol quite laid back with good bass lines and stuff might be too far off but ill put it anyway.I got sick of all the aggressive stuff as well haven't been into stuff like Pantera for a few years now.

all good probably chose a bad example that is one of their faster songs but has a cool video like Dragon Ball Z or something lol. Also on second thought have you given Interpol a listen good music to just have on while you hang out.
