the opening ceremonies have been somehow faked for the television. some better visual effects. i dont know how that works.
chinese people even have some rule how to applaud as they have been very unfair guests in sport events before. like they were leaving the stadion when their team or their athlete has finished.
i hope they dont cut anyones hand off if they dont applaud properlly. but this is so ridiculous, yet typical for dictatorship

they show lots of sports I am not interested in, like cycling, weightlifting, fencing, boxing etc. when I am home and want to watch some coverage of the Olympic Games. it's like a curse that doesn't want me to watch the sports that I enjoy.

We won the gold medal on soccer and it was an awesome ceremony.
