Title: Songs that you miss the most at the shows lately!
Post by: Far away on Dec 01, 2009, 02:47 PM
I was wondering last night about some songs they are not playing often in the last few years. I mean, I cant complain about their setlists lately, lots of unusual songs being played (WGTB for example), etc.

BUT..

I miss a lot of old songs they used to play back in the first years or tour, like: Bored, Fireal, Mascara, Mx, etc.

I also know that its probably because they want to focus on their latests records and all that. I just wanted to know what songs you guys miss the most.

my list would go with:

Fireal
Minus blindfold
Mascara
Mx
Say it aint so (its a cover but i love when they play it)

They havent been playing BQAD a ton lately.  IMO that song needs to be played at every show.  It just never gets old.

A lot of tracks but a few of my propositions:

- Damone
- Teething
- Can't Even Breathe
- Fist
- Bumble D

Bumble D is one of my favorite songs, pity they played it live only once.

Wrong. Rickets was rarely played live in the old days but it became a more frequent one during the SWN era, I think. As for Dai the Flu, I'm definitely sure that they played it bunch of times in the old days, especially in 1998.

I do not care. Although I know I can easily piss some people off ( often intentionally ), I really don't think I'm one of the most annoying people around. People might quote me and say " Yes, you are " but seriously and with objectivity, I don't see what I've done that was so annoying that it would make people go away.

And I don't know who you are so I care even less.

just because they played it in 98 a couple of times doesnt mean it was a standard live song on their list.you seem to think they played it as frequently as my own summer? i saw them twice at the 98 tour +checked them out at the net at their live clips, interviews during that time - they very seldom played dai the flu. i had two videos of dai the flu live but i alsways considered them rarities

Dude, my own summer is like the Deftones classic, how can you even compare them ? I'm not talking about videos, I know there aren't many live videos of Dai the Flu, but audio, yes.

So, it's not Bored, MX, Fireal, Lotion. I agree it hasn't been played that much live. But " only a couple of times " is not objective. I agree with you on Rickets, though. Lhabia and Damone too. Although Lhabia has been a returning one in 2003 and 2007, both for a little time if I'm correct.

Don't want to bitch around but remember that Knife Party was totally a regular in 2000. But about passenger, you're right. The only times they played it were with Maynard, before 2006.

Not as much as before, and that sucks. They played it at the two concerts before the european tour ( Bamboozle (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4acY4szoFNk) and South Korea (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPVgFM-g4Ts) ), they played it only three times during the european tour ( Cabaret Vert (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2zDV3Nj1UU), Paradiso (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1X_rYfLA0k) and The Forum (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uD18T65ehk) ). I'm pretty sure they didn't play it even once during the Slipknot tour. After that, the only time was during the second benefit concert (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRkfxBlZnrw).

I wonder about Bored, now. Weren't they playing it almost each time during a most part of the tours ? Bored at the Avalon was the first time in more than a year.

to say it was "totally regular" isnt totally true, i mean they didnt play knife party before the release of white pony in june 2000? i saw them in 2000 before the release, at the hultsfred show, and the songs from wp was change, digital bath and elite as encore. it became more or less a regular at the second half of that year

they rarely played it during the festivals in 2000. I don't even think they did once. Where as during the " normal " concerts, it was often on the setlist.

but they pretty much only did festivals when they toured europe that year, so to say that it was "totally regular" and then say they never play it at festivals when they only did festivals in europe is kind of funny

Yeah but I'm talking about the whole WP tour in general, not only the european part.

Don't want to bitch around but remember that Knife Party was totally a regular in 2000.

you would think that if its a "totally regular song 2000", they would play it all year at all places.not half the year in us only

No, I would think it's a regular if they played it in a major part of the tour, not everywhere, not everywhen.

if it were a "totally regular song"  as u put it,that year, then it would be played "everywhere everywhen".
but i see u dont use the word totally anymore, a step in the right direction for sure. if i were to go on about this,u would change from regular to "pretty often"

I said it was totally a regular.

I didn't say it was a totally regular song.

" It was totally a regular " = " It was undoubtlessly a regular "

" It was a totally regular song " = " It was played everywhere, everywhen "

Now, J, for fuck sake... Leave me alone.

u typed "totally regular" ...if not a song - a totally regular what then? what did u mean - a totally regular panda bear? a totally regular garden hose?

a lot of noobs here may actually read yr stuff as facts, but i see it as u just say shit out in the air. yr posts needs to be checked by someone

For the fucking last time...

I wrote

" It was totally a regular "

of course I meant a song, asshole ! But I didn't write " It was a totally regular song ", I wrote " It was totally a regular ", WHICH IS NOT THE SAME, DAMN IT.

I don't say shit out in the air, I report what I see on the setlists. Now, shut up.

Saw them play Fireal @ Heavy TO a few years ago. Amazing stuff.

I really want to hear them play Korea again, one of my favourite songs.
