Ok so I'm a little excited. Reading Festival again maybe? We'll see.
:o
Leeds/Reading festival announcement is Monday 21st March.
I expected them to do Sonispheres but that French festival is a little too late in August for the Sonisphere run around Europe.
Anyway, nice find dude :)
I wish they come back Europe!!!!!l
I am hoping for late July - August european festival tour with headline dates here and there. I don't suppose they will be doing an arena tour in europe ala 2003
I think they are more likely to do Reading Festival rather than sonisphere or download. A day ti
I wonder if there will be a London gig and if so where it will be. . . . . very doubtful it will be brixton again. . . . Maybe smaller ?
Will they do festivals / headlines 50 - 50 or can we hope for another proper european arena tour? I'm thinking Hammersmith Apollo size venues..
?
EDIT: If they are playing Rock en Seine on August bank holiday - regardless of whether it's Friday, Sat or Sun, surely this would rule out Reading / Leeds Festival as it's the same weekend? Very unlikely though not impossible they would do both, right?
If they play sonisphere I'm going to be very fucking torn about buying a ticket - it's basically 200 quid! I'm planning to go to dour festival in Belgium once again, which is just 100 euros for 4 days of music and covers a lot of great electronic / rave / dance alongside the usual metal and rock. I don't suppose deftones will play there . . .if they do they could definitely headline it.
Don't worry, they'll be at Reading and/or Leeds, I'm sure.
Portugal. Again. Thank you.

Leeds/Reading very likely now :)
Hopefully Liverpool or Manchester for the one-off this time ;)
Either way at least Leeds and the headliner for us.
Count me in for Amsterdam! I love deftones In Amsterdam combination , its always big time fun!
Will be show number 21 for me to see them , but It feels like the first time again. Believe it or not But this shit made my weekend (and even my summer)!!!!!
Yeah
My guess: pukkelpop festival (altErnative festival which they played in 98 and 09)
Hope for more cool announcements like Paris, Londen, Cologne etc
If they don't add a headline date in Belgium, I'll make the trip to Amsterdam. And if they add a London headline date, I'll make the trip as well. Last time at the Brixton Academy was cool. :)
fuck, on the same day I'm on a foo fighters concert in cologne. I hope they add a german date
Last time they did Amsterdam before Reading/Leeds, I asked Stef at the London show how did it go in Amsterdam and he said 'Have you been to Amsterdam? well you know what its like then'. He also told me that I was getting old. Rude fucker.

I agree totally with the defsteve tour schedulde (mentioned above) : lots of festivals and a few gigs in major cities.
Greetings
Do we have any word whatsoever on a UK side-date around the reading weekend yet? It is possible they wont do one isn't it?
But they probably will? Definitely will?

Yup, gotta agree with Longstem there. I don't know how many times I saw them, I'd say around 15, but only 3 or 4 times in my country as well...

Liverpool would be awesome, I'm moving there in a few weeks!
I think it's very likely to be London, or somewhere close by within the M40 corridor. . If they are up for doing a small gig, it could be anywhere - London, Oxford..... If they want to do a decent size I assume they would do somewhere in London. If they want to be cunts, they will do a Glasgow or Manchester show just to spread themselves about as other bands do sometimes. If they want to be prize cunts they won't play a headline set at all.
Would love to see them at Reading but fuck am I buying a day ticket for that price!
Hopefully as others have said we will find out soon. Here's hoping guys :)
Liverpool or Manchester plz deftones. Is there any ''secret band name'' shit involved when they do this?

Still no news on a UK headliner. Maybe this time they will just chillax in Amsterdam before flying in for Reading/Leeds.
Still hopeful though
I'm still hopeful too. . They have announced the small London gigs before with just 8 weeks or so notice .. .So I think we may have another month or so of waiting before we can write it off. . . . The european dates are still trickling though . . .all we can take from this is that it's a venue the band arn't that worried about selling out in a minimum amount of time!!! ;)

Do you guys know any hotels near the venue or is it better to head back to the centre of the city?
Im flying into Heathrow an ngetting to the venue isnt that a problem on first sight but I noticed not to many hotels near the venue. Is this a bad neighbourhood or what?
So .. great thanks to de Londen Deftones fans who are willing to help me out !!

not a bad neighbourhood actually and plenty of hotels not too far away. Would be surprised if there are no decent hotels in Shepherds Bush, but if you are struggling to find something there, have a look at Hammersmith or Paddington - both not too far away

Sheperd's Bush is quite nice - I would suggest something like booking.com or hostelworld where you can look at places on a map. Tubes will probably still be running after the gig and the nearest station, I think, is on the central line. Not far from marble arch which is full of little hotels.

This Deftones gig @ PukkelPop Festival will be at the Shelter stage.
This is the first time that Deftones isnt playing the main stage. Former performances at this festival were in 1998 and 2009.
Deftones is the headliner at this stage and will probably play at the same time with Eminem on the main stage.
The Shelter stage is the old 'Skate Stage' and had a mainly alternative rock/ punk/ hardcore line up.
I was hoping for an headline at the Marquee because its dark and small and is close to a venue atmosphere.
But Shelter should be nice too.
Anyone else going to this festival? I will be visiting the festival alone. (how pathetic :) )
greetings
Tom

Who did you order from?
Seetickets/gigsandtours are notoriously late sending out tickets. Sometimes within 7 days of gig.
Ticketline sent their tickets out ages ago.
Ticketweb are usually quick as well.
So my advice would be if you ordered from see/gigsandtours.....wait for now.
Anyone else...contact them as they will probably have already been dispatched a while ago.
Anyone have 2 standing tickets for the London gig for sale before I look on ebay?
ive got two standing tickets but not for sale, sorry i had to brag
I got my London ticket about 2 months a go

Each time I've watched Pukkelpop live, they only showed the Main Stage and the Marquee shows.

I got them on the presale thing from seetickets. If I haven't got them by next week I might contact them. I did get an email a few weeks after I ordered them saying there was a delay but I'm a woman and we're known for worrying.
Im worried too actually.
Seetickets is poor customer service, I will never use it again. In these times of technology and logistics their delivery period is an outrage.
Im especially worried since they have to send the tickets all the way to Belgium.
Its a disgrace, I work with customers all day long and this is really not acceptable.
We have the right to get correct information and confirmation on how to attebd the concert. Ive paid the tickets months ago, this is even a theft in my opinion.!!!!!!!
Still haven't got mine either :-/
Received another email from them recently saying they will be despatched shortly.
I went onto the seetickets website and they have an order tracker thing. It came up with all the right details and said that they were still waiting for the tickets from the supplier.

I phoned them yesterday and they said that V Festival tickets were priority at the moment. I also got that email! Yay!
So, long time guys!
Anyway, I will be at the show in Stuttgart at LKA Longhorn (place looks pretty small) next Thursday, let me know if anyone from here plans on being there via pm.
Kinda been spoilt for gigs here the last few weeks; Sepultura, Deftones, Boysetsfire, 30STM, Placebo and copious amounts of beer. Wunderbar!
You live in Germany now ?
Yeah, moved here a couple of months back - es ist sehr schoen! How are you? Going to any these upcoming shows?
Wish I could be at the London show too, that was my initial plan, but oh well, Amsterdam should be just as good. :)

Well, I'm still living in Hong Kong, so that would be a little bit too much of a trip unfortunately... :-\

Deftones in Paradiso is just one thing you have to do as a Deftones fan :)
Never seen them play a bad show. I adore the atmosphere and you will like it too.
grtz

RECEIVED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Hope you guys too...
Yep. Got them and my train tickets. In less than 24 hours time we'll be waiting with anticipation for them to walk on stage.
I shall be at the London show on my own tomorrow :( sad times, but if anyone wants to meet up before
I'm sure I'll be mooching around before. Our train gets in at three but I wanna go to Selfridges and Liberty before hand.
so looks like the band fucked their London fans yet again - Combat and Boys Republic nowhere to be seen.
whilst the show was actually really good, I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but I am getting increasingly resentful for the fact that the band doesn't seem to ever want to play anything special here anymore. I've seen the band 14 times now and only once, way back in 2001, have I been left surprised by a choice of track (Damone). Actually, Chino played the opening bars of Riviere, up until the first chorus, which I captured on video.
Nonetheless, setlist was similar to last night (minus the abovementioned tracks) and Chino confirmed that the band would be returning to the US to make a new record. He then went on to say it would be a techno record, but I guess we can all discount that.
@pissedandpierced - i was on level 1 and noticed you exhibited a master class in pitfloor migration! You started off at the back left and somehow during the course of the first hour ended up near to the front on the right.
Chino was on fire, definitely had a good nights sleep after the Amsterdam show. He was singing all these random songs between Deftones songs and went crazy during Engine No.9, screaming down Sergio's mic for a bit of it as he dropped his own mic. Talking of Sergio, his screams especially during Summer are getting much better.
I think we need to come to the conclusion that for Deftones shows in the future, we will no longer hear rare songs anymore, ever. Even more so now that they're gonna go write a new record and when they tour that it will leave even less room for rarer songs to be played. Like Chino said at the Amsterdam show, they don't even know how to play half the rare shit we wanna hear which sucks for us. I've seen them play most of the songs I've wanted them to play but Battle-Axe is still something I need to see live but I don't think they'll ever play that again unless it's for a 10 year anniversary of S/T maybe.
But yeah, good show in the end. Am seeing them at Reading Festival this Friday and that will probably be the last time I'll see them live for a while.
I don't know, man. During the conversation with Sly, dawg and me, he did say he had been thinking about making a tour with some more rare stuff. Besides, I've read somewhere that Stef always suggests to change the setlists up but in the end, it's a band decision. I do think they want to play some rare shit, but they just never take the time to rehearse it.
Deftones, lazy !?!?!?!?!?!!??
No way.................................

whoa, that's utter bullshit! You don't sound like someone who just saw their favourite band . . .in London for the third time in less than 18 months?!? That's good going imo.

I was at the Scala, but they played Adrenaline in its entirety on several occasions in the run up to it, so wasn't a surprise at all.
Good going that they tour here regularly versus some other places in Europe, but I am just massively disappointed that the excellent gesture at the Paradiso wasn't repeated last night.
Props to aj for taping

Back home from a nice trip Amsterdam and London!
Had an awesome time and saw Deftones in great shape...now taking some rest and full report coming up later on
Good night SL!!!!!.
Good for you man ! Will be waiting for the reports then... :)
Anyone else going Reading Festival today? I shall be there but not on my own this time. I will be with a girl who is my girlfriend
Hell, I wish. Deftones and glassJAw on the same festival...
I didn't really enjoy the London show. It was the 15th time I'd seen them live, I wasn't impressed with the setlist, I thought the sound was shit and it didn't have the same kinda atmosphere that I normally feel when I've seen them live. I think they need a break, they just seemed to go through the motions. Also, the fact that two of the most stinkiest girls stood next to me and decided to have a go didn't help, seriously, women should never smell like they did. We even left earlier than we had planned.
