Title: You know what really grinds my gears?
Post by: poofing acid on Apr 20, 2011, 04:10 PM
Fat chick voices.  The way it drags out and gets all raspy.  Kinda like when anna nicole smith was fat and talked.

People that stop at yields.

People that don't turn on red.

I have a lot of road rage.

Anyone else?

I too have a lot of road rage. I'm a major asshole at times while driving, but mostly it's when I'm provoked. These may be some pet peeves, but sometimes it is pretty fun. I guess that's what happens when living in the city. I'm used to idiot drivers.

People driving at, or under, the speed limit.
People that cut into my lane in front of me as a light turns red simply to move up a spot.
People that leave turn signals on.
People who are double parked.
People who take 5 minutes just to parallel park on a side street.
People that drive using 2 feet(the brake lights are on, even though they are accelerating).
Hummers, not the blow jobs.

I just ask that people signal when they drive. It would make life a million times more easier. It's not hard to do either. Takes half a second flat. It would also prevent a lot of accidents.

Guys on crotch rockets that either don't know how to the hell to shift (or just want to sound cool).  Every gear shift has to be this big production in which you make your bike scream and squeal as loudly as possible while driving down my street at 2:00 a.m.  Next time . . . I will be waiting . . . with a two by four . . . fucker.

Oh, and those people who are turning left out of store parking lot and instead of bearing to the left, they sit right in the middle of the exit drive so you can't get around them to make a right turn out and have to sit and wait behind them (all the while envisioning yourself getting out of the car and punching them in their dumb face).

And girls with camel toe.  Really?  It makes me want to kick you in the vagina.

**Edited to add:  Bright lights, I love your sig line, it's been making me smile for the past two days  ;D

- people that overtake you and then drive very slowly.
- customers who knock alcohol over and break it because they have no fucking idea how to operate a shopping trolley.
- when you say someone's good-looking and then everyone assumes you have feelings for them.
- when someone steals your idea and they're presenting before you in class and it looks like it was their idea and you stole it. happened to me several times while i was at uni.

People that think they're funny because they constantly quote family guy, south park, hang over, and other peoples jokes.
Chewing with your mouth open.
People that have to get right in your face to talk to you.
People that don't eat veggies, only meat and cheese. And will bitch and pick everything off if there are veggies.

When your step dad gets pissed about you spilling water on the toilet, not because I did it, but because I LIED ABOUT HOW IT HAPPENED.

I said because I was brushing my teeth, but it was actually because I washed my face.

He came back and I said "I wasn't lying", he goes "yes you were you said you didn't know what happened" I then called him a lier and he came at me like a bull, punched me, ripped my shirt in half and kicked me out.

My mom called the cops and now they are getting separated.

I don't think that's and accurate statement.  In fact, I challenge you to produce a credible source that backs that statement up.

Your country is known for it's waffles.  So STFU.

And no body asked you to worship the USA.  I just said that Belgium is gay.  Then for some reason you had to turn this into a debate about
America VS the World.  WTF?  That just vindicates my point that Belgium is gay.  And now, I would like to announce that I believe Belgium is gay AND has small penis syndrome.

Thus, whenever someone with a large penis attacks a Belgian, they retort with an un-proportional, unrelated, and irrelevant counter attack.  Because they have a small penis, and they feel insecure about that.

Yeah - but you know, doing extra dishes pisses me off.  And it only happens once in a while - when it happens it injects my brain with, 'take care when dealing with the grill dickhead', much like mixing drinks and having shitty hangovers the next day.  I rarely make a habit of causing bad shit to happen - it takes a long time for the learnt lesson to slip from my mind.  Do you actually use a utensil to remove toast from the grill, or do you have a good ol' toaster?

Yeah but everyone knows that everything good that ever came out of Belgium, was actually stolen from Germany.  So.....meh.

And IKEA would be awesome if it didn't suck so bad.  So theres always that.  Maybe next year they can try making a bed that can support a real mattress.  That would be productive.

No no, you're mistaken.  I just don't have pussy hands.  I would just assume that everyone else who does have pussy hands, uses utensils, when they touch hot food.

As are you mistaken - I said touching the grill - not hot food.  Maybe the dettached sensors in your brain mean you can touch hot grills without pain, but not me.   And anyway, Ive seen your hands - theyre practically a main feature of a lesbian porno.

Doctors sure...but dentists!!  As I jaunted into the private surgey for the forced fixings (pain like never previously experienced) I glanced nonchalantly at the private reg'ed Merc outside and thought nothing of it.  He did a quick assessment and estimated 300-350 pounds.  Ouch I though, but anything to take away this misery. Three further visits saw the price rise to a level where I questioned his judgement at all...a staggering total of 950 fucking pounds!  I accidentally dragged my Vauxhall Astra key all the way along his Merc on purpose.  Cunt.

yes, and they're going to make just as much money in tourism. i'm assuming correctly that shitloads of people actually went to england for the wedding and shitloads more will go after this wedding.

seriously, it technically should have been bigger and better. plus everyone loves a big wedding and i don't know about anyone else but it made me very very happy and i'm a big sook most of the time.

during the telecast half of everyone that were being interviewed was american and canadian. i'm pretty confident they will pull large numbers in the tourism aspect, and as far as i heard the royal family did pay for a lot of things. i'm not sure what though. plus the shitloads of money that was donated to charity as wedding gifts. consider all that. i think people are fucking on too much about the cost. they are the royal family! seriously.

Mazzy my dear,

I don't doubt that you probably have a very good reason for believing all of this.  It actually surprised me a bit that you were on the opposite side of this, so there must be a good reason for you being ok with all of it.  I do not mean to be argumentative with you.

It occurred to me that they could make some money off DVD sales, broadcasting rights, advertisement etc etc.  Although, for some reason, tourism actually never did cross my mind.  Either way, if you take the profits made from the wedding (assuming there are any) and add 20 million pounds (which is what the tax payers paid) thats 20 million more pounds for the tax payers if the Royal family wouldn't have charged the tax payers at all, but used 100% private money instead.

I mean, they actually brought troops home from Afghanistan to hold security for this.  WTF kind of message does that send to the kid who just got his legs blown off about how important his mission is?  You know what I'm saying?

Yep - and thats it really...tourism - pretty much the only way they actually do have of making back any of the ridiculous sums they have splashed out on them on stuff like this.  Their roles are diminishing daily - and as a Scotsman whos a leaner towards independence, Im not a big fan.  All power to em enjoying their lives together and stuff, but I like my money, and need it much much much more than they do.  And beefeaters - what a stupid job that is.

the thing that people don't understand is that the wedding could have been bigger and more expensive than what it was. it's not something new that they are charging tax payers for something like this. plus the majority of them got paid for their day off and a lot of companies offered workers three times their normal wage to work on that day. of course, just under 10% of workers got rorted and i'm sad for them but i'm looking at the bigger picture here. as far as i'm concerned, those troops got a nice day out being there for the wedding. i mean seriously, london>afghanistan. come on, trey. where would you rather be? not saying afghanistan isn't a beautiful country and that this war should be reduced to something trivial. i ain't! i'm just sayin' that maybe those troops kind of liked being there. i don't know. i'm just guessing.

and shiiiiit, if the australian government used my tax money to pay for oprah's visit then i'm not going to sit here and be mad that the poms had to pay for this damn wedding. at least the wedding was actually enjoyable to watch and shoot me if you want for this but i really like william and kate. it seems you had healthy relations with the parents and thats great, but I'm just not gonna suck up to the parents and do boring shit ,im not dating them.i've only got so much energy and i'm using it on the girl i love .im not ben stiller in "meet the parents" for gods sake.

if the girl in a situation like this says that the guy she's with makes her happy, then i think most parents tend to listen and take a step back if the guy isn't like dangerous for her.personally i'm pretty harmless. if they don't care about her feelings and choices, and instead just go after what they think and do anything to fuck with the guy, then they're selfish a-holes who destroys for their own daugther (i may sound selfish now, but geez)
but i have never met those, knock on wood.i'm sure they're out there, but mostly in movies.

i'm just saying, we dont have to watch garbage on tv for half a day and fool ourselves and others that we like it and then talk about useless points, we could use that time to spend it with the girl and she can then talk about us in some selling way and make the parents calm the fuck down.

they're more of a symbol of britain - the british culture and heritage is tied up with the monarchy. you will find that a lot of britons do want them around. the history of the royal family is a reminder of what it means to be british. plus the royal family and its heritage brings in more than £500m of revenue a year from overseas tourists (those are 2010 figures). which takes me back to this complaining about using £37 million of taypayers money for the wedding yet they forget that the taxpayer received £130 million from the crown estates.

if you're going to question anything it should be why countries like australia, canada, india etc are still under the monarchy when we have clearly established a culture of our own. as an australian, i don't know where i stand. i see some good arguments on both sides. the thing is the british culture is the culture of the majority of white australians, but even some of them are ardent republicans. we've literally got an entirely different sort of life/culture going on here in australia, but every time there's a royal in town we get giddy with excitement.

they don't have any political power per se. they did in the past. i guess in a way, they've become an institution. if i think of england i think of the royal family straight away. they're more of a symbol. look at those corgis, even they love the queen.

Yeah it's definitely not my drink of choice. I usually drink beer, margaritas, or whiskey. I can't believe you've never had whiskey...that just seems crazy to me lol.

Yeah just depends on if  it's  with rye, wheat, barley, or corn. Bourbon being distilled with corn.

Every single music channel in the world.  And while Im on it, the radio too.  If I listen to the radio, its a chat only station for like sport and news and comedy and so on.  I worked at a place once where they had Glasgows premier radio station of total bollocks, 'Real Radio' blaring out from 6.30am till 6.30pm.  They play nothing outside the top 20 pop tunes all god dang day.  Theres nothing worse than being conditioned to walk around humming the fucking travesty by David Gwetter and Kelly Rowland.  David Gwetter....I dont get that at all - hes got the stars lining up to warble over his 80s casio bollocks.  Fucking two finger piano playing prick.

My girl is fucking me up. She's so stubborn, we'll fall out over pathetic things because she refuses to be wrong. I'll get pissed too but I come to my senses way before she ever does. I realize that it's not worth the stress, but she drags it out as if its a moral lesson or someshit when in fact she is is just dragging out her own fucking mistakes. She completely blanks me even when I'm barring all, which just makes me feel physically sick. I've fucked my hand up a few times because of how much she provokes me, I'll just punch the nearest solid object ( never hit her ). Then I feel stupid cuz I know I'm letting her play my emotions, she's in control of shit. Problem is I love the bitch :/

That's a difficult one. It's not like she's being a bitch to you in the way when kids are nasty to their crush in the play ground. I hate to say it but could it be a hormonal thing? I'm guessing you've said to her that her being a bitch is starting to get you down.
Title: Re: The bitch thread
Post by: black coffee on May 17, 2011, 04:27 PM
One thing that I've learned over the years ( from experience with my ex girlfriends )  -
If you lose too many fights against her, you will most likely never taste victory again.

Thing is, she knows you're turning into defense mode whenever she's getting pissed, so she uses that to her advantage and wins. Every time.
And you being the one who's trying to become reconciled to her is like admitting that you were the one who has done wrong.

So to give you some final advice - Be as calm and rational as you can. Tell her how you feel, and ask why she is being mad at you. Maybe shes just angry at work colleagues who give her shit all the time, and when she comes home you're the one who gets it back. Or maybe you will find out that she actually has a point?

Either way I think it's vital for your relationship to talk about this.

It's either that or you swallowing your pride and not doing anything because you fear the consequences.

- People who don't realize that the possessive form of "it" is "its" and not "it's." (I'm guilty of being a grammar nazi and there are tons of other things but for everyone's sake I'll leave it at this.)
- Parents who post about their child's every move on Facebook. I don't care if your child's shit is green, it's not amusing to me or to anyone else really.
- People who think they're photographers just because they take pictures and stick a watermark on their photos. It's even worse when they create fan pages for their "photography" on Facebook.
- Slow drivers in the left lane. Hell, any drivers in the left lane. You shouldn't use the left lane unless you're passing someone or going faster than everyone else.

I wasn't disagreeing, just wanted to say that both sides are neither right or wrong

People who complain about their whattsapp message not being delivered fast enough are somewhat retarded, but THAT is also the fun of it. Because we can relate to problems like this. But if someone gives me a lecture about third world problems, I usually let the person talk, because it leads to nowhere. The more I talk back, the longer I have to sit through it. And its not worth it.

I see your point.

I only buy deluxe albums if there are actual rare songs (bonus tracks, not just live versions of studio album songs, and not necessarily B-sides), and if the artwork is decent enough.

And so far, I have only done this once.

But yeah. For the most part, deluxe versions are stupid.

I got one worse than that shit.Japan edtions.what the fuck?really, you want me to pay 40,50 bucks for an extra fuckin track and a obi tag?these prices rarely drop,if anything, they go up over the years.and you know a lot of times these tracks are awesome, and they never show up ANYWHERE.this trend has faded out through the years, but some bands(jesu, pelican, pinback)do this shit everytime.
and i-tunes exclusives(deftones don't pull that shit again please),I don't want that m4a shit.I go through a lot shit to keep all my music equal quaillty when digital.then I got these 2 fuckin 192 m4as sittin in a bundle of flac.can't we get that shit in wav or fuckin alac please?stupid
shit I know.but that crap makes me pisted.

I agree with that ITunes exclusive shit... WTF, who wants to have shitty music like that on their computer !?
That's not how music should be enjoyed....

Plus ITunes suck, and Apple can rot in hell before they see 1 cent of my fucking money....

You know what rustles my jimmies? These people that are on shows like American Idol and X-Factor that claim that they "Just want to make music"... Please! Showing up and saying that does not count. Those people are in it for the fame and money. How about the bands slaving in their studio just to produce a couple solid tracks for a demo? How about the guy that sits on the corner with his amp and guitar shredding i...t up as people pass by? What about those bands that stick to small venues just to have a small chance at being heard, maybe even by someone who could give them hope? What about that songbook full of hand-written notes and lyrics that has yet to be seen by anyone? Those are the people that want to make music and want people to experience their creativity with them. If the people on reality tv "just want to make music", they would have been making it by now.

VERY good point.

I want my music to be heard, but I won't go to some stupid American Idol-type show just to do it. I really don't care about getting money or fame from my music, even if they are good rewards.

People on here who use abbreviations for every god damn deftones song title. I don't even frequent the deftones section of this board, but it brings my piss to a boil anyway.

Would you even as far as to say going to the Deftones section of a Deftones forum grinds your gears?

hehe, not necessarily. It's just not for me anymore. How the fuck there can be so much discussion in there i don't understand though. The Koi No Yokan thread took only one and a half month to reach almost as many posts as the bullshit thread which has been open since 2005. People fucking love deftones i guess.

I'll say it grinds my gears. Like Crazylegs said, it's crazy how much people talk about Deftones on that side of the board. From what I've witnessed, a lot of it is "your opinion is wrong, but mine is right" crap and I hate scrolling through five pages of that.

Like White Pony.

How many versions where there again :P

What grinds my gears, being that I work behind a bar part-time, is drunks that say "one for the road".....20 times.....in the same night...then take the ugliest person home for, what I assume is awful, flaccid, saggy, smelly sex, and then blame you as the bar person for allowing them to do such a thing the next day.

.....then their partner turns up....
