Post by: Oldnewtype on Jun 13, 2011, 05:10 AM
Yeah once again oldnewtype is going for a sticky, not just for attention I swear. Simple concept: If you are in a band or make music, post it here. I wanna hear your shit, heres mine.

I think it should be cool that, in order to post the song you should post a comment or two on other's music.

I can see oldnewtypes band getting some attention pretty soon. There's great rythmic ideas on their song & wild riffage. how the music scene in your area? chances to grow? Loved to death the 3:10 part.

here's mine. We recorded a demo EP 2 years ago, and now this demo song. We are recording our first album at my home (except the drums on La nave de osberg, a place where TarjaTurunen & hatebreed have recorded, among others).

This thread has definetively shined more than I imagined, I love that. Unfortunately, I think after two weeks or so of activity it will decay. don't be shy, sharing lungers, post your musical proyect.

and those of us who already have don't doubt to post actual demos. I can, and I will too.

THE PICTURESQUE EPISODES
I'm a one-man project, I released 11 (12? lost count) albums through 2007-2011. Music genres that could define my music and their change:
Shitty demos -> Experimental Ambient -> Ambient -> Post-rock -> Neo-classical -> Drone -> Cosmic-rock -> Cosmotronica -> Next evolutionary step?

Right now I am constructing a cosmotronica album (quite different from what I usually do which is post-rock influenced), "I/O Technogenesis", to be released on 06/17.

A month ago I released a cosmic-rock monolith, "Cosmogenesis". I had much enjoyment making it. I believe most of you guys who enjoy post-rock will enjoy this album too.
You can check it HERE (http://thepicturesqueepisodes.bandcamp.com/album/cosmogenesis) (for a free download, click buy now and enter 0 in the price).

In addition to audio architecture, I love making abstract videos for some of my songs. You can check these videos HERE (http://www.youtube.com/user/boredmx). Also, I play in a live band here in Lithuania, it's called "slowattack". We do nice things but so far we've been busy, so, dead. Also, I am making live shows as the Picturesque Episodes, playing electronica + experimental vocals, a saxophone and dreamy guitar sounds.

I am quite proud of what I do, but not satisfied with the releases I make. There is much to be done in the future. An acoustic album, a neo-classical album made only by string movements and drone sounds, noise album, post-metal album, drone album.. lots of things, I just don't have enough time. I do get some recognition over the internet (it's nice seeing people upload my songs in YouTube with their home made videos or pictures etc, just to share it with others, along in Facebook etc). So I do what I love and I hope you will like my sounds - I believe quite a lot of people from SL already heard my music in some way.

Cheers guys + good thread!

I mainly do solo stuff but me and a friend from University decided to collab on some music as we both like the same sort of stuff, and we came up with this:

We are working on some more stuff atm, adding a more electronica feel to the music.

Vessl sounds badass, I'm definitely gonna have to sit and listen to the whole album at some point.
The one song I heard on that page from Efusion was really cool too quality sounded great.
Downloading Cosmogenesis now, will post my comments on it later.
Blossom Hill by Alone at Sea was cool I'm just not a huge ambient rock fan.

Here's another early demo of my newest band, this one's called "A Calloused Mind"

Thanks for the compliments. We don't have a huge scene around here but its not small either. Once we bring this shit to New Orleans and Baton Rouge I think we'll do pretty good. These demos are just guitar and drums, we'll have some with bass and vocals in the next couple weeks. Just gotta start writing more now.

I like what you guys are doing, you should do a digital split with Darius's Slow attack. The sound is well planned.

so far I've enjoyed every band that was posted, I hope there's more to come.
I'll upload the drum & guitar tracks that we have so far for the upcoming record soon, for the people who likes to focus on guitar work.

Wow, good voice man. I'm impressed. I wouldn't sound you/he sounds like Chino, but I guess it's that moaning he refers to.

Brian, you should so put the carving names songs to download here!

if anybody's curious, here are the drum+guitar version of my band's record. I'd like to think I stepped up my abilities for this recording. There are some nice effects, too. you'll judge for yourself (or not).

Hey everybody. I'm new to this forum but I stumbled upon this thread and thought I would share my music! My band is called Under Eternal Skies. We are relatively diverse in what we play but our main focus is hard rock and metal genres. Our most recent track is called "Aurora Borealis." Here is a link to it on YouTube: Under Eternal Skies "Aurora Borealis" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnHT-6UtRAQ#ws). You can also check out our other tracks on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Under-Eternal-Skies/161235493918073?sk=app_178091127385 (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Under-Eternal-Skies/161235493918073?sk=app_178091127385). This is good man!!! I hope you get a singer soon (I don't know if that's what you're after, but seems like the music would benefit from it).
