A lot of people write off Senses Fail as an "emo hardcore postpunk blah blah blah" band and yes they've been guilty of that but this new album entitled "Renacer" (produced by Shaun Lopez) is well on it's way to becoming my album of the year. A huge progression and departure for the band partly due to 2 new guitar players and it's just a powerful, uplifting, brutal and complete feeling album. I've had it on repeat since it's release. One of my favourite Senses Fail records already. I highly recommend giving it a listen even if you have never had an interest in the band before. Something here might strike you here. I can't gush about it enough. Slopez really nailed the production and the band are at top form. Seriously, give it a chance.

I couldn't care less about his image and personality. I don't know him personally obviously and I don't read about him (except for the new kid and mtv awards, who hasnt heard about those two?) so it doesn't affect me.

Blame my laziness this year as opposed to the lack of decency for the shortness:

Intronaut -Habitual Levitations
Byzantine - Byzantine

A bit angry at myself that I only discovered Intronaut this year, but the joy therefore of 4 mighty fine albums to listen to. This years offering represents an album thats had me more excited than anything for nigh on a couple of years; seen them live in November, and it was like watching Tool in your bedroom...spent the full set wondering how it was I was standing talking to them before the performance, then standing watching them with no more than 30 people. These dudes should be fucking massive.

No love for Depeche Mode's Delta Machine here? I haven't seen anyone mentioning it, so far.

I saw Depeche Mode this summer. New songs sounded good, after the gig I got home and tried to listen to the new album, but my opinion didn't changed - there is nothing in it.
